The Hills star Lauren Conrad puts on her guest designer hat again and has just released a new Linea Pelle Collection.

Her designs are now available online for order exclusively through LPcollection.com.

“I love the bag (tote) because it holds so much and the leather is super soft,” Lauren tells JustJared.com. “It is available in 3 colors. There’s also a clutch and a coin purse.”

yeah i don't really understand linea pelle.....as a company i mean. the tote is quite cute actually but way overpriced. I'd pay 80 max for it. I like the shape and size of it though.

no, i wont trash it because she's on an crappy mtv show, and because it's her...i'll trash it because she has no darn creativity, design talent and her stuff is way over-piced and overtly trendy. I've seen these bag shapes before, and i've seen the chain thing done before as well. i'm trashing it because this girl really just cant design, she picks out things from designers that already are selling stuff, and just chews it up and pukes it back out into these 'designs' of hers...

i think the tote is nice but it is wayyy too overpriced imho. most i'd spend is $50, but i probably wouldn't buy it anyway.

As for a marketing strategy, Linea Pelle is very smart for getting someone in the public eye (I wont call her a celebrity) to represent a mini line for them.

But I'm a little tiffed that anyone who is on TV can have a handbag line thrown at them.. whereas someone like me who is working to open their own (and is an unknown) has to work insanely hard for it. and it's just being handed out to someone else.

Ah well... good move for LP... The bags are just OK, but i'm sure they'll be bought and are popular already.
