I'm not sure about the availability of the Murakami Speedy, but the store located in Banff, Canada does not have long waiting lists. They have the smaller stuff in stock! ie. pochette, mini HL, accessories...I asked about the Eye Love line, and they can't get that in...but you could call them up and ask about the speedy??
The Eye Love line? You wish!!

Each bag in the Eye Love series were made in extremely, extremely limited quantities (IE: 100 or less per bag), and they sold out basically the day they hit the market.

They will never be available again anywhere other than ebay, and they go for up to $10,000. [/b][/quote]
Yeas, that's what they told me!! Its a beautiful bag, but my boyfriend would beat my ***. I'm having a hard enough time justifying getting more than one bag!!

I am kicking myself for not getting a cherry blossom pochette.

Aw! I'm sorry to hear that.
I'm sure you'll have more than one in your collection sometime soon.
I'm sorry you didn't get the Cherry Blossom bag! It's so cute!

For fine Luis Vuitton products try the Beverly Center on Beverly Blvd
if you live in thr Los Angeles area.

Also, i recommend Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills.
ooohh beverly center i checked there before and they don't carry the murakami bag jessica simpson has anymore. same as everywhere else!!

I agree with asleym, Louis Vuitton is a luxury leather house that has been around forever and will continue to be. But now LV has become so generic to me especialy after everyone carrying around fake multi colored LVs and seeing jessica simpson with one making eveyone and their mom want one. The luxury Leather house of LV has become so mainstream due to its marketing (jlo) and the overexposurein pop music. Im even kinda embarassed to walk aorund with my Papillon. I feel like putting away all of my LVs in a trunk under my bed and pull them out ten years from now, when theyre out of the limelight...especialy the ghastly multi-colored speedy

welcome shoe gal

i love the ALMA but if its ones first LV, i would pick another one.
where i live, the more conservative people and older ladies carry them.

the younger crowd tends to go for the papillon or the SAC PLAT (designers etc)

ALMA itself is a nice bag, but it does look old ladyish to me. Not that being "old ladyish" is bad, but that bag would be nicer for women around age 30 or 40 or more.
(I've always seen older women carrying it.)

oops, I didn't mean that
30 or 40 is not an old lady, but I'm in my 20s so to me they are "older" ladies.

Uhh no...
Personally I don't think you should be so concerned about what is IN... go for something you love... and remember, classic pieces are always "in"
