would someone here please mind telling me whether this stam is authentic or not?

i appreciate it . the seller says that she got it authenticated but im not sure if she has proof yet. If it is im getting it for a good price and im sooo excited because I simply adore this bag!

Also... if anyones interested in the cream color i was in the marc on bleaker a few days ago and asked about it. they said they had one that just got off hold for someone. I tried it on and its absolutely beautiful. I dont think theyve been desplaying it so just go in and ask or call and hopefully they still have it!

it looks a little fishy to me. some of the pics are super clear and others aren't.....some of the pictures look like ones i have seen on i-offer (the sideways pic of the zipper pull) and ebay of other auctions. are all of these her own pictures?? personally, i checked my controllo card, because this one sounded different to me, and sure enough it was. i'ver read controllo cards just like this one on i-offer ( the part where it says to keep the leather out of water) ??? mines doesn't mention that at all, and it sound like the standard wording used on i-offer bags. also, one of the pics shows the bags leather and then theres a blue underlighting. the leather doesn't look like the same texture as mine, it seems less icey and less pebbled where the blue light is hitting it. im sorry, but i definately have my doubts

i havent purchased the bag yet but i found it on craigslist and the seller says that they purchased it from another craigslist user and is selling it because they realized they want the taupe. its claimed to have been authenticated by marc jacobs and neiman marcus but i jsut asked for proof of that and she is yet to respond.

i'd skip it...it sounds fishy to me and the pics are fishy too. sometimes department stores cant tell the difference either and im not even sure they would porvide proof of any sort........

anyone looking for a black stam? it might be nappa leather though....since the SA said "we just got the new spring stam in today."

Radar, I think the black stam is fake - check out the picture of the white tag... it appears to have a sticker over that says BLACK (thats the red flag for me)

Btw, since you mentioned that you saw the cream color - can you let me know if the cream is more of a pinkish tone ivory color or true cream color? I have been thinking of a cream but I would like to hear hows the actual color like before I order from NAP.

I think that the black bag above is FAKE.

Why take about 7 pictures,none of which shows the bag properly? When you're selling an authentic bag you take pics that shows it off to it's best advantage.

Woohoo, I scored a Taupe from Nordstroms today! The only flaw I see is a few glue marks along the edges of the frame, otherwise it looks great. BTW, for Stam owners, is it normal for the bag to smell a strong leathery scent? This bag reeked of strong leather smell! TIA! Oh, and here's my taupe Stam!

Yeah, my baby Stam (clutch) has NO smell at all and I bought it at Neimans...I'm airing it out right now hoping the leather scent will be more subtle ....
