Good luck with your decision...Unfortunately, I'm kind of regretting mine...
Do not regret your bag!!! It is beautiful in any color, no doubt! We are lucky to have one in any color. It is a hard choice to make because they are so great in black, in putty, etc. That is why we are having a hard time. I am sure after my window for exchanging the putty for the black is closed I will say OH NO, I want the black! I will be posting and whineing to everyone...what did I DO? I drive my husband nuts with this all the time. He actually told me to go with the putty. Before posting, I was imagining someone walking by me with a pen and getting a pen mark on my bag. So believe me, this is a tough choice.

many many many people have been reporting designerfamly for selling massive quantities of fake bags as well as stealing MY stam pictures off of THIS thread. i confronted her on it and it got nasty. finally it looks like ebay realized that tons of complaints cant be wrong! the "timing" everyone is talking about is her getting booted from ebay and you getting caught with a fake bag, no matter how many places you took it to. designerfamly only sells fakes and she lies like the dickens (that sounds better than what i COULD say about her and her BS ) if you delete it from your auctions, that does not mean that it disapears from ebay either. all auctions stay viewable for 90 days from the auctions end. it sounds like you deleted it and dont have any hard copies of the auction or auction #. we are not nasty, just sick of the lying people on ebay selling fakes, and the unfortunate victims like yourself. if you're going to get kiddish about the whole thing, go ahead. in talking about your bag being fake, we are merely letting you know what we know to help you. but if you dont want the help, thats fine too. but you're enjoying a fake stam none the less.

Thanks for the encouragement sandrac823!

I also drive my husband nuts. We are heading to San Francisco tomorrow (again), a 2 hour drive, so I can hopefully, arrive at a final decision about this bag. I sympathize with you and your tough decision. It would be so much easier if we could just keep them both!

Sometimes I feel like they say that to cover their own asses unless you use something that does harm, but I thought I would share what he said anyhow....
I thought I read somewhere in this thread that someone did protect the bag by misting the air with protecter and then walking through it with the bag. I dont know how much that helps but I would still do it anyway if it helped just a little. I am most worried about the handles. I am afraid they will turn grey from the oil on your hands. I hope there is something to protect it with. When I was at Neimans tonight the sa was saying that the black will be more forgiving but the inside wont and sometimes black does not age well.

Sorry, you purchased a fake stam....People here are just trying to be helpful by giving their opinion...You may take it or leave it, just my 2 cents.

I absolutely agree with you Jun. It seems there are victims on every bag thread on TFS at the moment and as much as you try and tell people how to sort out fake from non-fake sellers on ebay, it seems to be getting worse!!!

I have to admit that it also annoys me that there's a whole thread on TFS dedicated to fake bags. I've got nothing wrong with people who buy fakes, as i have also done so in the past, but it's ILLEGAL and hardly appropriate for a serious fashion website.

just fyi, designerfamly has not been booted from ebay. designerfamily, with the "i", is the one who is no longer a registered user. But that doesn't make the bag real.

Good call, boymom... however "designerfamly" is obviously a reincarnation of the other name (who was from Canada too).... I think we can put two and two together here.

Jun: I hear ya, sis! OMG, I didn't realize that was the same seller who stole your pics!!

Back on topic... the Blush Stam is already sold out on eluxury!

Do the real Stam bags have "lampo" zippers? I thought this meant they were knock-offs....but some pictures on ebay have close ups of the zippers engraved with "lampo" label?

Can anyone clarify this for me...sorry if its stupid...

the stams originally had lampo, then they recently switched to "riri". If you read back, you'll see when the switch happened - either resort or this spring season.

Stam Patent Colors

I'm looking for a patent stam--but I don't want the chalk, blush, or cola. MJ in SF told me that MJ as a company only ordered those three colors. But the SA said that that does not rule out that it will/was made in green or midnight blue....

Does anyone know anything about the Stam coming out in midnight or green? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
