question for you all, if you don't mind!

i have been coveting the quilted e/w frame bag since i first saw it, such a perfect evening bag for me but i have this sinking feeling that it will go on sale, as it doesn't seem to be as popular as the stam. do you think it'll stay at full-price because it's in the same collection? i don't own any mj (never was a fan until this quilted business!) so i don't know how the sales tend to run.

It's really hard to tell. I agree though; it would be a shame to purchase that bag at full price especially given its size.

If you really love it, I wouldn't count on finding one on sale later on. Too risky. But that's if you just have to have it.

I don't think the little stam is going to be going on sale. It just seems like it has the potential to sell out once people give up trying to get the big stam. I got the little one even though I could have gotten the bigger. The little one is perfect for day or evenings.

I dont think it will go on sale, but it's just a guess, you never know. I'd wait a little bit and if they become hard to find, I'd get it then. Right now it's obvius the stam is going to sell out completley, but it's still not impossible to get one. You should still be able to get a baby stam if/when it'll be clear that they will sell out.

Thanks all for the input! guessgirl - that's a good idea. I'm going to try and wait it out and see what happens - if I can. I may just cave in and buy it anyway. It's so rare that I fall in love with a bag, I know I would regret it if I missed it. Still don't know which color I want though...

Check NM & BG every mid-morning. For whatever reason, they keep adding the bag for a short time and then they're gone. I have ordered two from them and even though it states clearly that they are back-ordered until 11/22, I get a postcard from them stating that the order is delayed with no exact ship date. I'm SO confused.

Okay, that was an answer and a rant all in one. lol

Is anyone else noticing that some of the bags look mis-shapen? I am noticing this a lot in ebay pics. Maybe they just need to be played with to retain a perfect shape but I'm noticing that some of the bags look odd. Not mine, luckily, but anyone else?

The bags that keep popping up on NM.com and BG.com are black ones though right? I am really lusting for a taupe one! I've been calling EVERYWHERE and each time an SA tells me they found one, it turns out to be a return for a broken kisslock that is being sent back. I wonder if I will ever find one!

Both colors are still popping up, but one color at a time. My best guess is still that they're back-orders that people are cancelling.

Oh, the taupe one pops up on Saks from time to time too. I am obsessive and check all three sites a million times daily.

I do know what you mean..mine does this if I don't load the bag evenly with stuff. It's easy to put right though...

the bag itself is not mishapen...but alot of the ebay pics are of the bag without anything in it, and it does slouch when set down....so thats the reason for the funny pics. all they need to do is stuff the bags with some tissue before taking pics, and it will look fine. i think people assume this bag is a very structured one because of the classic shape (frame bag) but the leather is pretty soft and it's very slouchy, and i think thats whats neat about it....sorta "deconstructed structure"... i hope that all the people that have backordered one, actually get theres! it seems like a hassle, and that they should give you a more precise shipment date for your trouble of having to wait a month to get it
