Is anyone else noticing that some of the bags look mis-shapen? I am noticing this a lot in ebay pics. Maybe they just need to be played with to retain a perfect shape but I'm noticing that some of the bags look odd. Not mine, luckily, but anyone else?

I checed with NM for my pre-ordered they still confirm for 22nd Nov. Have you contact them and find out the date?

I finally plucked up the courage to take my Stam in for repairs today. NAP don't have a repair policy (and to be honest i didn't really want it sailing off to the other side of the world anyway). Some of the stitching had caught on the bottom and come undone...I was so nervous, I was whispering to the man how rare and valuable it is and to please guard it with his life. Whhhaaaa...i'm fretting now !!! Please reassure me it will come back in one piece!

One from each! I have ordered two black bags so I can choose the better of the two. The first one was ordered from BG. I ordered from the site, the confirmation said backordered until 11/22, then a week later I got a postcard saying it is delayed because "demand exceededed supply" or something like that. I went to Live Help and they assured me that my order will be shipped by 11/22 and can tell me nothing about the postcard. I spotted another bag on NM, repeat the exact same scenario. What I haven't done, though, is to call the number on the postcard! I know they have different departments and none seem to communicate with the other. I'll try to call that postcard number today.

I pre ordered a pair of shoes from BG, I got that delayed postcard but they ended up cancelling the order since "demand exceeded supply" just like with you. They didn't even tell me it was cancelled until I called in about a week after they were supposed to come in. I'm hoping the same thing doesn't happen with you, daisy. Wishing you the best of luck!

My STAM order in BG.com has been cancelled, when i check my status of my bg account I realize that, and they haven't notify me. I'm so sad. Just hope they could still produce 06 S/S. so sad...

Aw, that stinks! Which color did you have ordered?

I just checked on my black one from BG and now they're saying 12/2 but it's not cancelled. I'm definitely not getting my hopes up but at least I'll HOPEFULLY be able to get the black one in January, if it is indeed producted again.

That sucks! Maybe if you are looking for a taupe one, you could call a few Saks stores? I called one in Bal Harbour, FL yesterday and the SA there found one for me and ordered it. She's waiting for it to be located and picked up (by the shipper or something?). I wasn't really clear on that.

Then today, I kind of freaked myself out thinking maybe it was never ordered or something was wrong, because she was supposed to call me back with more info. And also, my credit card didn't seem to be charged. So I called another Saks near me in Bala Cynwyd and asked the SA to check if the company had any Stam bags at all, and she said there were 5 listed in the computer (all taupe). So I ordered one. I was told it would take 3 to 5 days for it to be picked up. (Maybe this is why my card wasn't charged yet?)

But anyway, if everything works out, I may end up with 2 taupe Stams. I find this really odd, as from the looks of everything and what other SAs were telling me, this bag was supposed to be absolutely and completely sold out. So I'm trying not to get my hopes up. Last week, I thought I had a Stam coming my way, but it turns out the bag that the SA found was damaged.

You are very lucky you found this. I was in Saks today and they looked up on the system and they told me there was one and they called and it was already sold out. Enjoy your new bag!!!

It kills me several months ago they were online at NM and I had onein my basket and did not order it.

Check you bag for defects....most that are in stores now are defect returns. I actually returned a taupe to Saks last Wednesday due to the fact that the seam was coming loose at the bottom and the leather had rubbed off in two locations at the top roll portion (mine originally came from the Saks warehouse, though).

Interestly, a SA at Nordstrom who did a search for me the week earlier told me all the ones in their system were defect returns also.

Poorly made bag IMO.

Nordstom's told me the only ones they have were sent out for repairs. How are the qualities of these bags?

i've had no problems with my bag what-so-ever *knock on wood*
the only 'defect' was a barely noticable ding in the leather on the frame.. but it was there when i bought it and it got me 10% off so i'm fine with it..

i really wanna know the real and full story behind these bags. i heard from three stores that their stock wass sent back for repairs....but what what the problem that needed to be repaired??
i have mine, and it's holding up fine (again *knock on wood*), so i'm not going to let myself get bothered about it...but it'd be nice if there was some kind of official notice, instead of just hearsay from SAs at the stores...


but i agree! make sure you check your bags all over before using them, ect.

haven't used my black yet. Still not a hundred percent sure I'm keeping it. I don't know why.... I guess I'm worried it's going to be heavy with the chain.

daisy - please let's me know if you have confirm with NM for their shipping date. As I have not received any postpone postcard. Btw I'm in Australia so I'm not sure they will be sending out for overseas customer.
