edna, call the SA who helped you with the locator order. i think if you're really serious about it, ask her if she can call and put the order through directly, letting her know that you'd feel more comfortable having it done right away... or ask her for the stores that DO have it in stock so you can call asap and order it over the phone directly. sometimes locator orders aren't accurate because they may also be damaged items that are still in the system... or things that were bought a day or two ago, but the system just hasn't been updated. it should be good news that she found FIVE, though... and even if you don't get it this season, i think the odds are in everyone's favor that they'll produce it for the next, given it's success!

That fake bag looks pretty good though...rt...I don't know but it seems to look just like the authentic one, the color may be wrong the the texture of the leather seems ok...

the thread color and leather color are off, the quilting isn't as "deep" and the 2 rows of stiching look closer together. The proportions are also wrong, I saw the front of that bag and the bottom of the little tab on the zipper went all the way down to the bottom of the bag. If you look at more pics, you can see the bag overall just looks cheaper...

Daisy, perhaps it IS a better idea not to buy off ebay. And I'm surprised, too, that BG or Saks or NM haven't listed it this week yet. I kept checking a million times a day!

Meowmix, thanks for the advice! I will definitely be calling ASAP today. Thank goodness for the tFS forums, or else I'd probably be sitting around fretting and worrying and waiting forever without it! As for next season, if they do produce again, I really hope they will produce another taupe!

ok, so i've pretty much decided that i NEED one of the smaller quilted bags. i love the stam, but i really love the richness of the leather/hardware/etc in a small, more casual evening bag.

i haven't actually seen the small e/w frame in person, but i did see/try on the cammie. i only tried it on to scope out the leather and the hardware but now i can't stop thinking about it! funny, since i HATED it in the pics... but the pushlocks in the brushed brass were so pretty... and the zipper so nice and heavy... and the lining... i guess it has just kinda grown on me! but i do love the frame and the kisslock on the e/w, so i'm torn as to which i should get. opinions? it will definitely be black, and it will definitely be in textured leather.

/\ i'd get the small stam in black, because then you could use it as an evening bag or a regular bag and it wont ever be overwhelming....its the size that hilary duff has been pictured with. i think its WAY cute!!!!

as far as the fakes go, im petty sure a few of the ones pictured on ioffer are the real bags...they took pictures of the real thing and because the fakes aren't coming for several weeks. but yes, the color is more brown with a red undertone and it doesn't have that neat irredescent effect in the color. also, in several pics, that must be of the real fakes, the shape is definately off and the stitch color isn't right. and the suede interior looks REALLY CRAPPY!....so im very unhappy about this and think its disgusting....best of luck in finding the real deal edna and anyone else still looking for one. THANK YOu for buying the real thing and not supporting this fake counterfeit market!

Well, I called the 2 SAs back and asked for the list of stores that had the bag according to the system. Called them all and none have it. What a bummer. I think I have officially given up.

what a bummer /\ im sorry edna....well, i saw a couple of the sellers on ebay are mypoupette sellers, so you'd be safe buying from them....but they increased the prices over retail....best of luck in whatever you end up choosing to do.

I'll continue to check those sites, of course. :+) In the meantime, I just ordered the small Stam from Saks in the taupe color. I'm going to see how much I can actually fit in it, since I am a big-bag type of girl. If it can fit my necessities, I just might keep it! I mulled it over for a good 2 hours. My boyfriend thinks I am just being hasty and rationalizing why I need a small bag.

/\ baah! they dont understand! my BF thought my bag was like $200....until his mom freaked out because she had seen it in a magazine. i think the smaller one is definatley CUTE!!! but im sure there will be at least one more to pop up. after all, they probably just shipped out all of those backorders, and there's gotta be one lady out there who's going to be unhappy and return it (she's gotta be crazy!) but her loss is your gain
