here's a pic of a real life stam in the bourdeux, and a really bag pukey-purple FAKE!!!!!!!!!!! well, the fakes look like crap!

^ That is gross!! I just got my black clutch in the mail...it seems as though it might be one of the faultys. The frame doesn't really close properly even with the kiss-lock closed and I could tell the bag could fall open. Im going to take it to the bag-fixer who did a great job on my stam...he said he knew someone who fixes frames!!! (-: I was so worried about it, as i bought it from ebay and it's the last one i've seen there for a long time.

^ I think you will love it regardless of the size..the small is very cute and will fit a small wallet, keys, make up etc.

i've just been lurking on this thread lately (btw, very pretty bags, ladies!) but that purple one - it looks like it tried to be a good fake then just kinda gave up ..

i didn't read the text before i saw the pics, and i thought the bordeaux was a fake, too, and i was like 'DAMN!! that fake looks AMAZING..' haha then i read it was a real one....
that purple bag, though.....i don't know if words can even describe what i think about that...................

i sent a report to ebay about that diva-whatever ebay seller....maybe if we all send in reports? you go to the ebay "home" page and click on "site map" at the top, then click "security and resolution center" under "marketplace safety" then click "report another problem" and then "report a listing policy violation or prohibited item", "item that may violate a copyright..." "report counterfeit watches, handbags.........." and then enter the item number of the fake or questionable auction. the pics these sellers used were from ioffer...and the prices could not justify it being real. grrrrrrrr!

I'm so sorry you missed it. The place did get really busy today. It's possible the SA didn't know what style you were referring to though. I didn't recognize the SAs that were there and so many wouldn't know the difference between the stam and the venetia. Try to catch Wynn tomorrow and see if she could just double check. She knows the style. You'd be surprised how many SAs have no clue what the items they're selling are called.

Maybe I will try that later today. I'm anxious! I hate being in different time zones. Anyhow, I did call Barney's NY and asked the SA if she could do a company check but she was mean and rudely told me that she has tried that before because others have called and asked. But she did take my name and number down and said she would call me if they get it in any new colors for spring (if it will be re-released) and said that if they do, it should be soon.

/\ i really hope one comes your way! i know your pain i was lusting after this bag right before they sold out and having anxiety attacks (well not really) as i watched them sell out site after site...it tugs at that little place in your heart reserved for great bags!

The Stam shuold be re-released though, right? A friend of mine called the Marc Jacobs store in NY and they said that the Stams will be coming out in new colors for the Spring collection. I just wonder if they definitely have accurate information. And if so, I wonder what the new colors will be! Although I really really do still want a taupe. I'm so jealous of yours, jun3machina!
