Klow, the ship date is now 12/2 but I have the feeling that's not definite either.

Thanks daisy - I will contact them today and see if they will give me some other date. They have not sent any email or postcard to me at all. So I'm still thinking it still be on the 22nd Nov. Thanks again for letting me know

^ They has cancelled my pre-ordered with out sending me any email or contact. I did contac them back on the 15/11/05 and they have confirmed that they will be sending the bag out to me and now they are telling me that the ordered has been cancelled.

This is very bad service from NM and first time ording from NM.

I just received my black stam from nm.com (it was on backorder until 11/21). It's great - love the color for me. However, I'm a bit peeved about a couple of things:

1) It didn't come with a nice, soft cloth MJ dustbag. It came with a plain, nylon dustbag that is too small for the bag!

2) There is a tiny scratch on the leather on the front of the bag, below the zipper. It's probably imperceptible to most people, but I know it's there, which bothers me.

3) The clasp-lock isn't as tight or secure as the one on my taupe bag. It just seems a bit looser than the the one on my other bag

4) There is a small "stain" on the suede lining inside the bag. Again, nothing big, but I don't think it should be there.

All in all, not a "perfect" bag, but I'm afraid I won't find another black. What would you do???

If these things really bother you, I'd return it. Didn't someone say that they will be rereleasing these at the MJ boutiques?

stepbina - all in all if it's not too bother you then I would say keep it unless it's too much then return it. I have just found out that they cancelled my pre-ordered so I'm not sure if you can get the perfect one though.

Don't be sad, BG was cancelled my black STAM order couple days ago, and without sending me any mail, or notify me. I chat on-line with them, they just said, this item is no longer available.

Hope they will re-produce in spring!!

Thanks okutori NM did exactly the same too me ...wonder who else got their orders cancelled.

I hope they will re-produce again for spring. I will call MJ boutique to find out I'll let you know as well. According to few members they will produce the bag again....let's hope for it.

wow, know-chloe...i has really bad customer service with both BG and NM!!! they really need to work on that! thats absolutely CRUEL that they didn't inform you about your canceled order! i would have been so mad! i paid for overnite shipping and didn't get my bag for over a WEEK!! and none of the customer service reps were helpful...they just kept lying to me to apease me. i was supposed to get tracking info, a bill and a bunch of other things through email and i didnt get SH*T. it seems like this is happening to a lot of people. from now on, if i can help it, i plan to purchase elsewhere....eluxury has been more than helpful in customer service and answering questions too, in comparison to NM and BG

^^NM is the worst!! my dilemma went on for a month regarding my stam bags...i had two very bad different experiences when puchasing my black and taupe. first of all, obtaining the taupe was too much of a headache to even go into detail.(don't want to relive it)

with my black stam, i decided to sell the first one i received since it was a display and i wanted a "fresh" one so i ordered my 2nd one from NM. when i received, there was a nick on the kiss lock. barely noticeable, but still there. i was so bummed but i am very particular so i decided not to keep it. so now, i don't have a black textured stam(since i had cancelled the nappa at the boutique).

Klowchloe and Eclectic (and all other NM victims)- sorry u missed out, I also had a very bad experience with NM when I was trying to buy my Chloe boots. As an international buyer, I had to order with live assistance and the guy stuffed up so badly that somebody else bought the boots (last pair) while i was transacting..grrrr....I ended up buying off ebay for way over retail.

Stephbina- I too have a dodgy black stam, but the smaller one. I have decided to keep mine (though the ebayer who sold it to me is NOT getting any positive f/back from me for not disclosing!!). The frame is actually warped and hence the kiss lock is loose and the whole bag doesn't shut tight. I've taken it to a cobbler, who is going to use a machine to try and fix. Perhaps you could enquire about this for yourself? I wouldn't give it up, but that's just my opinion. Good luck!

I'm really peeved. There's a black Stam for sale on Ebay and the seller has a pic of her receipt from BG. That order was placed on 11/3 and she already got hers!! I ordered mine on 10/24 and I'm getting screwed (still being told 12/2 but I have no faith in that). Further, I saw the bag pop up again on 11/3 and snagged it. After thinking about it and chatting with Live Help, I decided to cancel that bag after they reassured me that my 10/24 order wasn't cancelled. I decided to let someone else have a shot at getting the bag. That seller probably got it!

I have been so frustrated with both BG and NM in the past. I've had orders cancelled due to depletion of stock, only to see the item appear again two days later. I can't even count how many times that has happened.

Klow, so sorry to hear that. that really sucks! Do Marc Jacobs even selling them anymore? Is there a waitlist there? i'm pretty sure they'll reproduce. just hope they will come out with it again soon. feel better
