That's a good decision. I'm sure you'll find many new bags once you're in the UK though. Are you moving to London?

I'm hoping to be working in London, but will be living in Cambridge while my boyfriend does his PhD there. Very excited!

Has anyone seen the plum metallic patchwork in real life? What are the new metallics like as far as the peeling/fading problem that the earlier ones had? Contrary to my earlier comment about resisting buying any more bags until i move, i'm very tempted by the black and plum metallic patchworks on Net a Porter right now!

Any comments appreciated!

B

sorry haven't seen the plum metallic patchwork irl
but I do have a question... what is the difference in
goldtone hardware and golden hardware? I there a difference?
Is one matte and the other shiny gold? I have a baby stam and the hardware
is sooooo bright shiny gold...and i kinda hate it, I wished it was more matte.

I'm not 100% sure, but i believe there were three variations of the gold hardware- An aged gold (which i have on my black baby stam), which had an almost black tarnished finish, so it looked antique; the gold (which i have on my putty regular, and was on the S/S 07-08, etc.), and the golden which is the brightest, shiny gold which you probably have. To be honest, they will all dull a bit with age (my putty chain has certainly done this, though not at all in a bad way), so you might find it will mellow a bit the more you wear it, particular if worn against bare skin rather than clothing.

Hope that helps

thank you so much for responding^....makes alot of sense because i did noticed that...
I wished i had gotten the 'aged' gold chain, it makes the bag look more...let's say vintage?!
hehe oh well, this was good to know and thanks again =)

thank goodness for this thread. I have stams from different seasons but not in black and i noticed my friend was selling her stam bag on ebay ... and i thought i would rob her which i did. but ... i was worried that she fobbed off a fake even though i knew she had a stam. when i saw the interior of most of the stams as burgundy i felt sick ... but mine is cream and shiny gold hardware and if i recall hers was quite shiny too ...

anyway thanks, i near had a heart attack. (it would serve me right though but i do hate her so ... lol)

You bought it off the same seller you sold it to on ebay? Hehe, i love it! Did you get it cheaper at least?

And i'm so glad you did Jun, i loved it on you!! I haven't used my black baby in a while...should probably give it some love

Really? Why did you sell it in the first place? I'm glad you were able to buy it back though.
