I saw Chalk Debbie & Bisque Sid at NM yesterday. According to the care tag, these bags are hand made; the studs are hand painted as well. I would think that these are the reasons why the bags are so expensive.

I'm getting confused sometimes. One of my SAs said that only styles from MIXED CHAIN line are made of Kangaroo leather, those from SWEET PUNK line are made of Calf leather. I tried looking for the tags on those at NM, but they didn't indicate the leather type.

Spotted the following Sweet Punk bags at Barney's NY in BH today: Sid in Bisque, Siouxsie in Black, Debbie in Black, Pouchette in Black. I wasn't blown away when I saw Chalk Debbie and Bisque Sid at NM yesterday. My reaction is completely different today, the leather is softer and nicer on the black colored ones. I was just amazed and impressed by the leather -- it's so soft and luxurious. I don't remember any MJ bags having leather this incredible.

I saw them at Barneys. The leather is like thin, cheap, plastic. Im amazed at how expensive these bags are but how cheaply designed and made they are.

i like the sid and siouxsie (love the names). the leather on the red pouchette from baglover is gorgeous, but the black hobo does look a bit plasticky. is it shiny just from the flash? i just don't think i could shell out this much money on something so trendy. maybe it'll go on sale later.

this is definitely a line you'd need to see in person to judge, I suppose. Maybe it's one of those "photos don't do it justice" things.

Does anyone know if these are available at all anymore? the pictures on this thread aren't working for me but I like the canvas tote though even on ebay they seem few and far between....

i dont think they're still available...they seem to have flown below the radar, and i haven't even seen many on ebay...where'd they all go ????
