It's on the ugly side of inoffensive more than being feminine.

Iím trying to decide on a gift for my husband. I would like to find him a nice quality and stylish alternative for a briefcase for work (It doesnít have to be formal/corporate) Here are a few options Iím considering that I think would suit him.

-Bally, Mulberry or possibly Dior suede messenger
-Oki-ni & Evisu collaboration from oki-ni.com:

-Dries van Noten from Browns:

-I also really like some of the Antonio Marras bags for summer & next fall. The only photo I could find online besides runway pics is this tote from Luisaviaroma:

Anyone have more info on these or know where to buy?

Has anyone seen these bags in person- nice or? Not sure about the large Lanvin lettering on the strapÖfrom lanvin.com:

My fav so far is probably the Dries bag. Which one would you recommend? Or Iíd love to hear other suggestions. Thanks!

It's Prada right? I actually like it (Im so shocked) the crazy print actually works on this bag, as long as there isn't some surprise vomit print on the other side it's a really nice sophisticated bag.

I happen to love messenger bags on men... LOVE! But sometimes, more handbag type bags on men I don't particularly find masculine or as appealing to my eye

Thanks Travis and cloud9 for your feedback. I really like those 2 bags, but am curious about the Lanvin bags as well. I might have the opportunity to see them in Paris in a few weeks, so will wait until then to decide...I will report back if I end up getting one.

the ethnic miu miu bags can be tricky to pull off if u arn't dressed accordingly (linen, kaftan, sandals) and its the height of summer. miu miu have some safe classic leather ones. but for a classic, understated man bag (and well priced) try bill amberg- which uses lether that ages well, and they have my favorite men's tote and a truffle hunter bag (see pics). not sure about european stockists though. ( and he does a dunhill canvas range but personally i think he works better with leather)

I do like that... thanks so much for the tip Travis.

I do think the miumiu bag is very summery, and trendy I can see it work with his wardrobe, but I can never tell if he will like it...hmm, tough one.

I love that bag, but personally, I thought it was just a little too campy for me, and I own most of Miu Miu S/S 2005! At Barneys, they put most of the men's miu miu bags in the womens, which i agree with. On the Miu Miu runway, there were also these duffel bags with the crazy prints, that i loved, but they didnt come to the USA.

I got the pic. from Browns, I guess I should go down to the Miumiu store an have a look.
