Sorry.. I just don't understand the hype about these bags.. the first looks like a typical leather messenger.. the second reminds me of a birkin.

I think she means that the muberry looks like a birkin. I've heard that comparison before and didn't understand it.

Hermes Birkin... and this Mulberry bag... except probably a few dimension differences.. and maybe the hardware and whatever the inside looks like... they look the same. *shrug*

Has anyone seen the new Mulberry JONI bag? It looks very much like the Luella Giselle. The store in London sent me some pics and it comes in lilac, has a lot of studs, has that criss cross Giselle look with one big buckle on the lower left side.
nevermind then..
i have a baby giselle and ive held the roxanne at the store.. it seemed heavier than my giselle at the time... but since you own both bags, you must be right

i think that the mini version of the roxy is actually called a pandora. i have one in tan leather and it is the perfect everyday bag, really easy to use , not heavy and will hang from the shoulder and fit snugly under your arm to deter pickpockets.

Love the site - i have just found it!

it depends on whether you're talking about the stella lined in canvas which is significantly lighter than the one lined in suede. but overall, I think the stella feels lighter even if it's not actually lighter than the roxanne. because the roxanne has more bulk (big pockets, straps, hardware) and the shoulder straps are shorter, it is a little more cumbersome. but it totally works for me and I don't like the stella (or any MJ bags for that matter). the only way to know fore sure is to try them on with your stuff inside.

Has anyone seen in person the Mulberry "Lucielle"?? I tried to copy/paste from the mulberry website but it didn't happen. The chocolate color looks like it had been run over but the hibiscus looks interesting. If it came in a cream color it may be cool.
