This line could be so amazing. I hope it's good! I am so annoyed by some of the Target lines done by guest designers... the ones that are super cheap looking really cheapen the designers brand as a whole, IMO. Excited for this, but denim bags do not entice me in the least bit.

I'm starting to really be on the fence about this whole designer/mass market collaboration thing. On the one hand, I am a consumer and I like cheap stuff. On the other, I don't like how the whole cheap fast fashion thing has saturated the industry. Everything is throwaway and fashion is overwhelmed and moving at warp speed.

I completely feel the same way. I completely understand bringing fashion to the masses (especially in this economy when a lot of high end designers might not be doing as well as previous years), but I also think the industry is overly saturated with it at the moment. Not to mention, some of the poor quality (in my opinion) cheapens the designer brand as a whole (trying not to be hypocritical here).

I'd rather some of these designers not put their name on $20 tank tops (and some are quite tacky!) and $30 bags, if the items are going to fall apart. I'd much rather see some of these designers come out with more affordable lines (ready to wear) with a price point more attainable to the average consumer ($250 for a dress vs $1750...), but i will never understand how/why some of these designers are going right from $1200 bags to $40 bags at Target.

Sigh. What is the difficulty in making an affordable geniune leather bag? Velvet has to be one of my least favorite materials and denim --as far as handbags go-- isn't far behind. A simple leather satchel would be nice.

Well, it's a nice colour and kind of cute. But, ugh, I don't like it.
