Guess, thank you. I knew you'd come through for me. As one of the resident experts here, can you confirm that the picture I posted is in fact the brown calf with black patent, like belle suggested. TIA.

I think Fendi calls the brown leather tan, but other than that you've got it

Dulci -- Which ones are you considering?

The lacey ones are 14k
But if you can afford that, then definaltey the lace one. I love those

My second choice would be the brown snakeskin with blue rings. I'm not sure if the brown calf comes with rings, I dont htink so but thats just a guess.

i'm still puzzling over white vs. black...sorry gg are they just going to charge send it to you without you having seen them first?

diorella- can you describe the white patent on your b. fendi belt, please? is it very reflective? on the pictures it seems much less shiny than the black-- is it really like that IRL?

after a holiday dinner with mother dearest, i showed her pictures of the spy and bbag..
shes quite a classic lady.. so her opinion kind of shocked me! she freaked out over the bbag and swore to procure one in black patent and maybe croc but called the spy plain and kind of boring!

she noted that the bbag has a more special and lightyears-away-superior design and could last longer than a spy .. so far her fashion advice has never failed me.. but i always thought the bbag wouldn't last long. maybe thats the case for her age group? hm..

anyhow.. just a shameless plug for the bbag

ilovepositano - It's just as shiny as the black IRL, it feels smooth, but if you run your hands over it, sometimes your hand will stop. Hope that was understandable

And btw, it does reflect light very well, but not as much as the black

Theres no fendi by me so I will have to buy sight unseen. I'm hoping they'll be enough of these that if I dont like it I can easily exchange. I waitlisted for the white, black, and red in the medium at a few places, and the red in the lagre at a few places, just in case. So that if say Fendi TX gets them first I get the large red bag, then when I get it in person I decide I want the medium size, fendi TX will most likley be sold out of them by then. So instead of me getting on the already long waitlist, I can just return it and wait for another location I waitlisted at to call.

I'm not sure about the black vs. white still. At first I was thinking black, it's so much more sticking. But then I sort of started to not like the black at all becuase of the contrasting stiches and was liking the kind of "sweet" look of the white. Then I heard that white patent scratches and dirt gets inside the scratches, and I dont want that, so I was thinking maybe not get one at all? Then I remembered that lindsey wore the black patent bbelt and went to look for that picture, and in that picture the stiches really dont look nearly as bright as they do in the runway pic. So then I was thinking I'll get the black, until I heard from another member that she hasn't had any problems with her white patent bag, so now I want both again and I'm where I started

Sorry the post is so long, just thinking outload

Pinky -- It's great to hear your mom likes these bags! I've heard about her fabulous taste before It's awesome if she'll be getting the croc, and then you'll be able to borrow it occationally

LOL.

Thanks for your "plug" Pinky. I'm going to fill out the forms and pre-order my bag tonight. I'm a bit nervous about ordering sight unseen, but thank your mother for her support. While I love my spy, I have to kind of agree with her.

ilovepositano, yes, they will send me the bag as soon as it arrives.

pinky, that is very interesting-- and makes me happy, as i've loved this bag since i put my hands on it.

i'm not sure about the ones with contrasting buckles, but i do feel that the ones with same-colored buckles are just beautiful and definitely stand a chance to be timeless....

diorella- thanks so much for the description! i think i can almost see and feel the patent now.

This bag is just incredible. I love the shape and the patterns and everything. There is no doubt that this will be an it bag for 2006. Did any of you read the bazaar article on the B-bags? It was very interesting.

gg- omg, i totally understand the internal struggle. i've really been thinking about alot of those things too.

that is really an awesome description that the white patent has a "sweet" look!

somehow i feel like the black patent is the wild card in all of this. i feel like the black will either be totally striking, or it will be just too shiny for me to use alot for daytime in the summer. i already have alot of night time bags...

when i tried on the black lizard, one thing i really liked was the subtlety of the shine throughout the bag-- both in the lizard skin and in the rings. somehow even though the bag is very stylized, the subtlety of the sheen throughout the bag made the edgey design look very classic to me.

i'm really praying these two colors get delivered at the same exact time so i'm not faced with the decision just looking at one.
