somehow i feel like the black patent is the wild card in all of this. i feel like the black will either be totally striking, or it will be just too shiny for me to use alot for daytime in the summer. i already have alot of night time bags...

when i tried on the black lizard, one thing i really liked was the subtlety of the shine throughout the bag-- both in the lizard skin and in the rings. somehow even though the bag is very stylized, the subtlety of the sheen throughout the bag made the edgey design look very classic to me.

i'm really praying these two colors get delivered at the same exact time so i'm not faced with the decision just looking at one.
It's nice to hear I'm not the only one obsessing! Hopfully it'll be easier for you to decide when you see them both in person. Looking at lindseys belt, the black doesn't seem too shiney..

hee! i'll definately be bombarding her with comments on how beautiful the croc is

ok.. so i wasn't too interested in the white bbag at first.. but you evil girls positano and gg have pulled me into the same dilemma as well! at first i liked the tan/black-buckle.. then moved on to the 'lovers in the window' - and now, the black and white ones! seeing picture after picture of the white, i really can't get it out of my mind now!

even for fall, the white patent would look stunning against a knit.. but the black has that je ne sais quoi.. oh dear..

Too funny! The dangers of tFS Let us know when you decide

What is your take on the large vs. medium? I was thinking of getting the large red but now I'm thinking it's too structured to work in such a large size. Should I pass on the red overall? I'd love a red bag but maybe this isn't the one?

Diorella, I'd love to hear how your belt is holding up after more use, if it's scratching or anything like that. Hopfully not!

the small is a safe choice..
but the large has those nice 'bunches/wrinkles' (?) under the buckle flap that are especially cute in patent. the ruching makes it feel less structured and softer..

it doesn't seem 'too' big from the front but not sure about from the side.. but it would make for the hottest work bag! i'd love to get a large for a 2nd one if the chance arose..

its kind of hard to tell from pictures.. but i guess we'll know when we see it irl

Thanks! Unless I see any celeb pics or anything that make me think it's too big, I'll try out the large first and then size down if it's too big.

sorry, pinky, that we gave you the disease.

i love that picture of the white embroidered snakeskin buckle one in the bazaar article. do y'all think that is white patent, as opposed to white calf? the way it's wrinkling on the bottom seems calf to me?!

I'm pretty sure it's calf I think without all the detail of the flowers and snakeskin though, the patent would look better. But I do love the bag your reffering to

Guessgirl - No scratching on my belt...yet...fingers crossed. Although, I've made a conscientous effort not to touch it with anything sharp

watch out, everyone! it is contagious. i think i've contracted gg's strain of large vs. small.

i'm now considering large white too. i think the large in the black reminded me of a briefcase, but the large white here looks pretty funky....i'm 5'4".....maybe it's time for the gg antidote- the cutout! but sometimes i guess i like smaller bags in the summer time to go with smaller clothes...
please tell me what you think of the large vs. small white!

positano -- I'm leaning towards the small, I'd like to get the large to see in person just incase it works out which would be great, but I'm thinking that the small is most likley the most wearable size.

You have fendi near you though, you should put your name down for both and then when they get them in you can see which size suits you best :-)

thanks, gg. i think you're right about the small. sometimes i like to make up my mind for the most part before i step into the store because once i get around these bags i seem to LOSE MY MIND.

anyway, also i think i was wrong on the price of the white/black embroidered bag. it is $5190, and was the featured last look in Dec vogue. i've been wanting to scan and post all day, but tfs is giving me mucho problemos.

positano - I really like the large one and hope that it's not too big and too bulky for my frame. I hope to see both sizes IRL and decide which one it's perfect for me.

Fendi here will not have b-bags in stock until May 06 But I will be in Europe mid June so I hope to get the b-bag then.
