i'm not 100% sure any bag other than the birkin / kelly has staying power, so i say if you like it then it has staying power.

Nice to hear someone agrees, positano!

Klow, I actually agree with you that I dont think the bag has very much staying power, I think it just has too much going on. But I'm sure I'll still love if after the trend dies down :-D

I'm not mean the long last staying power like birkin or kelly in which it would never happen to this bag anyway.
For this bag to stay pass couple seasons I don't think it will but that's is my two cents opinion. And I agree with you guessgirl that it is a little bit too much going on.

Having say that I do like this bag but I need to see it IRL to decide.

kow-chloe, now that you've disagreed so wholeheartedly, you will of course have to clear it with me later if you do indeed change your mind and wish to purchase the bag.

oh and i'm going to give you karma on behalf of my husband who would probably be grateful to you for talking down the b bag.

Hang on I disagree with you in a way that I don't see this bag will become a classic bag and stay pass couple seasons. This doesn't mean I do not like and don't want to get this bag
There are others including me who sometime buy a bag just because I like it and only to be weared for one season. So if I decide to buy this bag that because I like it enough to get it and I would not expect it to last many seasons

Anyway I hope I'm wrong so that whatever we may invest in this bag is money well worth spend

I think it depends on the person. Even if the bag only holds it's status for a few seasons, but the wearer still loves it years after, then the moneys well spent

i'm going to have to agree with what some others said, this bag is definitely not for me. i can't see it being toted around by as large of a crowd as most other "it" bags, because i just can't see it appealing to as many people. although i do think it's a nice bag, it's definitely not for someone my age.

I think...its my personally opinion...we categorize the bags into three categories..1) We Love Immediately, 2) We dont love immediately but eventually love, 3) we dont love and will not love...I am usually type one and sometimes type two person...When the paddington was first out in Feb...I did not love it much...it was like no feelings towards it...Eventually its like cupid hit me with an arrow and i fell in love with it As for the spy bag, i remember my sister was trying to talk me out of it...she thought it looked old and isnt all that..after receiving it she is now very in love with it! When i first saw the b bag...i thought NAH its not a bag that i would die over...it took me a while to accept it...maybe because it doesnt have this"old" vintage look...its more modern and egdey...However, I do need to see it in person to make a final jugdement , but i am loving it though:P so i guess its going to join my wardrobe

Totally agree!

I know most - if not all - of us get caught up in some new bag hype, which is fine. But I would never buy something that I HATED at the beginning, and only buy it LATER because I've gotten caught up in the some frenzy. I saw this happen when the Spy was first launched. I know there were some people who said they hated it, thought it would never take off, etc who later on decided they JUST had to NOW get the bag.

My fearless forecast is that the B Fendi will be HUGE. I think the spy will also continue to be hot for one or two seasons, but Fendi is clearly on a roll and they are going to push the B Fendi line as much as the spys.

^ Unless the bag I have leaning toward more classic something like the Muse, or the Kansas in that case I can see myself carry it for more than few years.

taitai - Do you think they will receive the same reception with spy. I think the spy suit more variety audiences. But with B-bag I think they would get more younger genration audience.
