I have a vintage large Bagonghi that was an attic find. I'm thinking about cleaning it up and wearing it for fall since velvet is in this year, but I'm unsure if it is classic or too old-ladyish. Thoughts? The pic below is the same style and color as mine. Thanks!

That "old ladyish" look is back in though, isn't it? Plus, yours is REAL vintage. Wear it and see what happens. You have nothing to lose. For what it's worth, I love Roberta di Camerino! Hmm, I have one of her scarves...must be vintage now too. I'm going to try wearing it this fall!

As long as you like it, then dont worry about it being too "ladyish". Some people think that of my Chanel 2.55 but I love it.

Love Roberta Di Camerino bags. I also have a velvet bag Roberta bag I bough maybe 8 yrs ago from Barney's.

This past weekend, after being fascinated by this bag in a book I have, I saw it in person in Barneys in Boston! It's a beauty -- I may try to get one in the fall - very cool IMO!
