I was at Tod's yesterday & saw the Miky Nomade Grande & Miky Nomade Shopping...they are so HUGE I could carry my babies!!! but the color (Brandy) and leather are just AMAZING...

Anyway, I'm so in love with the Decoupage Shopping Media & they're going to have it in Brandy!!!!! SO excited!!!

I like how their logo is really subtle and classy. I like the more varied colors for Tod's bags instead of the usual tan or black or white. I think their bags look nice in blues and greens, even pinks (sometimes) and I am normally not a pink-bag-person. Actually, I can see their bags looking nice in pink but I don't think they do carry any pinks, do they? maybe in the candy?

Is this an Authentic Miky?

Found this on ebay, it's an older style miky, where the leather is not pebbled. I'm thinking this style was not copied as much as the miky zip, so what do you think? More pics below:

Everything TOD's

The candy bag really got me interested in Tod's and now I just love looking at all their bags. I don't know why but their logo really appeals to me. The bags are very classy. They don't get much attention. I like seeing pics of them online but I would like more to see YOUR tod's bags! I love seeing the members' bags in other threads. Can anyone please post pics of their Tod's bags?

AFTER CREATING A stir with its Michael Roberts collection for spring, its back to classics for the Italian luxury leathergoods house, Tods, as it presents a womens collection for fall-winter with references to the 1940s.

The Michael Roberts collection did well, and they were really interesting for editorials, said Flora Lee of Tods Hong Kong during the press preview held at the Tods store in Greenbelt 4, Makati, on Monday. But Tods is known for leather, so were going back to our roots.

Tods move to collaborate with the American illustrator and fashion editor was prodded by the recent industry trend of artist-designed lines for fashion houses. Roberts recreated Tods signature Gommino moccasins into racecar and speedboat prints that appeared in womens shoes and a bag.

In Manila, the Roberts mocs did better compared to the bag, a drawstring canvas with rope detail, according to Aileen Arevalo, Tods merchandising manager here. Apparently, practical Filipinos would rather get a leather bag for the same price.

Stores Specialists Inc., Tods Philippine distributor, isnt likely to encounter that same issue in the coming season. The bags come either in soft nappa or is treated for a vintage look. Alligator and pony are also used, the latter notably in a leopard-print pochette, which however wont be available in Manila.

Biker bag

The key pieces include the Chopper, a remake of the biker bag. The handbag has distinct leather-ring handles, and a riveted and buckled front pocket; the more casual style, in vintage leather, has leather-ring shoulder straps and riveted hardware on the front pocket.

Marlene, named after Marlene Dietrich, harks back to the 1940s and has a retro envelop shape with a woven leather button closure and coiled leather shoulder strap. It also has a pochette version; some styles have jeweled button closures.

Tods new shopper, also inspired by the biker, comes in vintage skin and has multiple pockets, its zipped top provided with a small monogrammed padlock. As usual, the brand latches on to its partiality for function with an update of its multiple-pocket T bag in rich shades of chocolate, burgundy, forest.

The pre-fall collection, available next month (the F/W line will be in stores September), also brings back the D bag, named after Princess Diana who favored the semi-structured drawstring satchel.

For shoes, the ballerina assumes a pointy tip with wavy sides and small-button details. It comes in suede. A dressier version has a patent-leather tip with a bow and rubber pebbles. The rubber pebbles also reappear in the new fringe-detailed patent pumps. A wedge-heeled style mimics the look of the buttoned ballerina, in patent leather.

The new mens shoes called Jazz have a sleek, urban silhouette. For the first time, Tods also presents an all-black patent line for men that include the low-cut Jazz, a wing-tip and a classic Gommino. The driving mocs also appear in pony.

The boots collection would probably send footwear-crazy Filipinas drooling. Theyll have to buy them overseas, however, as only one stylea stack-heeled ankle-cut patent with rubber-pebble detailwill be sold here, and only in black. Too hot for Manila weather, Arevalo said.

Some pieces from Derek Lams collection for Tods were also previewed for the Manila press. After a positive feedback for his limited-edition, seven-piece collection for springTods first apparel linethe American designer expanded the fall collection to 45 pieces. In Asia, the clothes are available only in Hong Kong and Tokyo.

The Tod's Chopper Bag

(dfsgalleria.com)

I never knew before how popular Tod's is in Asia. Also I didn't know the D Bag was named for Diana, Princess of Wales.

Does anyone find a picture of the Marlene bag named for Marlene Dietrich?

Did you get it? Could you please post your bag? I love to see the members' bags but I haven't seen anyone posting their Tod's.
