did they cut it off at 12 just so it would include Hermes?
Anyway the list doesn't surprise me at all.. except Dooney & Burke.. I'm still trying to figure out who buys that stuff |

What could they be defining as 'luxury consumer'? But then again, they are asking about name recognition - and since you see Coach or LV on the arm of practically everyone, you would have to be living as a hermit not to be familiar with it.

I think luxury consumer is anyone who shops brand names. Not necessarily designer.
I'm surprised Chanel is so low, I see people carrying the tote bags all the time.

![]() I'm really surprised at Dooney & Burke - not the name recognition so much as that they were even included in a luxury survey. |

I hate Coach. So much. But it's not really a surprise that it's number one because everybody's carrying their bags. Yawn.

just how many people they survey? 100? LOL
some media always said a survey, a survey but they don't really reveal how many people they survey and which are they're from...

coach as number one?
so we are talking about the american market NOT the luxury consumer in general... they dont even precise what age range. is coach and dooney and bourke as popular with women as it is with teens? i wish they could do more universal surveys including all continents.. it is so easy to do these days via the net. ![]()

It never fails to amaze me how popular coach, dooney and kate spade is. Living in europe, nobody knows what it is and you never see these brands around.
Agreed about Ralph Lauren too, not only is this Ricky bag totally cooky-cutter, second-hand design freakishly overpriced piece of garbage, it is actually MORE expensive than the Biking in croc. version |
