YSL Downtown Bag - Page 3

I saw the large downtown bag IRL, in white.
It's much better in real life and I can kind of see it's appeal, but the small ones are really a little pointless to me.

I think this bag looks rather nice in patent and ostrich. and even though I'm not crazy about the leather version, there is a woman carrying a tan/camel one in the airport gate I'm sitting in at the moment and it looks beautiful.

^ haha what are the chances of that happening? thats awesome. im not sure how i feel about this but kylie minogue does carry it well.

this bag looks alot better in person. it's pretty yummy in chocolate and ivory. however, i like the medium size alot better than the large. (<-something i never thought i would say). the medium has that secret golden ratio of purses (squarish rectangle)...the large is just rectangle. somehow the length of the bag throws of the proportions for me...ysl is doing a quilted patent version.

also i forgot to mention there is a new patent coming out that is stitched to look like crocodile. i'm still trying to decide if i like it.

the two things at the top are zips?? its supposed to expand?
the first pics i thought the sides were being squished out..
why am i so confused????
how does it open?????

^ it has two half zippers at the top and a little open section in the middle.

I think I gonna go check out the YSL Rive Gauche thread to see if it comes in purple as well!
