I love the insects!! I have a ton of pins and haven't really worn them for a few years, after they were everywhere. Maybe this fall it's time to bust them out again!

Adore the broche, beautiful colouring

All right it's time to come clean.. Last year I totally made a cheap knock-off of this delicious little thing. I couldn't find it anywhere online and since it was too good to resist there was no other option than to try my hand at putting one together myself. This is mine.. :p

Do you remember who's the designer?

Here are some adorable ones by a new Dutch designer called Iefke de Roos. I love. I'm also craving one of those starry brooches from post #145.

i knew there was a thread for brooches.... i just wanted to share my dumbness.
so, since the runway show, i've always been intrigued by the initial pins miumiu had on every model's outfit... then i saw them in person and felt the urge to own one. (two seems a lil too much even for me, no matter how much i love kitsch-y things). but the adorable sa told me they dont make them in every letter, they only made the 'm' cause it's like their logo (wich doesnt really make sense, anway) but - he added - they make them by special order in any letter one wants. so i ordered my F.

how tacky will it be? i do things on impulse

anyway considering it's brown leather and not glittery gold, i guess the tackiness factory lowers a lot.

^mistressf,I think it is a great rare find and with nice combination I dont think it'd look tacky at all.

I'm bunny freak so I bought this.

i'll have to actually see how it'll look on, to see if it goes anywhere near the tacky level.
i have to wait tho... i'll post pics when it'll be here

(btw, the bunny is too cute)

I've never really had brooches because I wouldn't know where to stick them. But lately I've had this strong urge for some Viking age brooches. I might just find use for them afterall.
