^ I ended up ordering one of them.

I just remembered that I do have a brooch, just rarely have worn it. I thought it would look best with a cashmere sweater.. but it is kind of weighty so I had best be careful with it.

I never wore brooches (I recently purchased two) I wanted something to accessorize. I don't see them very often and they're not so trendy anymore which is great.

Has anyone bought brooches off of etsy.com? If so, who did you buy from and were they made well?

i collect vintage jewelry. my favorite periods are victorian, mid-century modern, and the 80s. these are some of my fave pieces. i wear them all as pins or pendants.

3 1880s silver pins:

2 mid-century silver pins

finally an 80s metal/enamel pin by a memphis group designer

I never used to like brooches bc for the longest time I couldn't come up with any interesting ways to wear them, but now I like them there's a lot of really strange/interesting ones out. I have my grandpa's old jewelry box and I use his tie pins as like mini brooches on my shirts

I can't take pictures of them since my cam needs batteries D:.

I mostly wear brooches on my blazers and on some of my fedoras.

I tend to gravitate towards brooches that are more unique and interesting.

I also love medals, crests and religious art, though I'm an atheist. It's not in an ironic way either, I genuinely love it.
