Chanel J12 Watch

^mooohooohooo! don't think i haven't thought of it! i love how all three colors go with the coat. too bad can't wear all three bags at the same time (how many husbands are glad of that right now for their wives )! i'd feel a bit extravagant getting all three colors though i wonder how many ladies have bought all three?

oh goody! i love the tweed coat...please do post the photo if you get the chance.

here's the J12 in white (the one i likey ) it has a variation in diamonds on the bezel as well:

and this is the one in black, it's a special version, can't remember the name right now:

though there is one in black just like the white one. they also have it in chronograph. prices start at 3100 or so american dollars and go up!

loves it!

Maybe I can get one for my birthday

it's ceramic, here's the spiel from chanel.com:

A CHANEL bestseller since its launch in 2000, the J12, the brand’s first sport watch, now has a mirror image. The deep black version has undergone a metamorphosis to opalescent white to amazing effect. Sheer beauty, perfect balance, white ceramic enriched with white pigments to give it a quasi-polar, almost unreal colour, with its radiance heightened by numerals, hands, date display and inscriptions...in black.

The J12 white ceramic model is available in:
- 38 mm diameter, Swiss automatic movement:
Classic - Ref: H0970 Set with diamonds - Ref: H0969
- 33 mm diameter, Swiss high-precision quartz movement:
Classic - Ref: H0968 Set with diamonds - Ref: H0967

yes, do post pics, hikaru! droooool.

The ceramic is anti-scratches, which is the one thing I love about this watch. And plus the white is so cool and wearable with eveything, either a very summer look with other summery bright colors, or match with a black 60 looking mary quant mini dress to create a mod look. Very versatile. I like to white more than black also because the black one shows fingerprint, obvious fingerprints.

Ohhh, I really like j12 watches and thinking of getting them too...

Hikarupanda, how do they feel to wear? Do you find it difficult to match with other items? It looks like I am the same size as you and I'm kind of used to not so small watches, but these are even bigger then i would normally wear...
They come in two sizes, but even small one is quite big on my hand.
As far as I remember there are 3 types of band, ceramic or at least looking like one (ones Pigleto posted), croc leather one and something like resin. I've seen white-faced ones with pink diamonds on the pink croc band and it did bother me somehow, I guess would not be getting that ones...
Obviously I' m going for the smaller size, but cannot decide the color.
White looks so fresh and unusual but the blacks are so safe and classy...Argh...
(pics from chanel.com)

Pigleto, well, reissues are soooo special,
I'd say try to get the grey bag as well, like a day bag...since, technically speaking, you've got black one for your mom. .. so now you can feel like you are just geting the second one for youself
I really could not restrain myself from getting the second reissue
After sleeples night I went (much to the relief of my husband, who thought I was going mad talking only of that bag on hold for me) and bought black 224.
It feels so liberating to have both colors...
Ah, how really little it takes to make someone happy?...

The black is more elegant, but since the watch is more sporty and fun I'd go with the white.

Does anyone know how much is the one with the diamonds?

If you gals want to talk more about the J12 watch maybe we should start a new thread on it?

There are more than 2 sizes I believe, mine is the smallest. Although i am short and petite but I have thick bone, so my wrist is not all thin and tiny so i am actually a big watch person. And the smallest that I have is really a perfect size.

As to the band, they have ceramic, black rubber, and yea that pink croc one. the SA told me once i got the white ceramic, if I wanna buy the pink croc leather one later they can change the band for me. But I don't really like that pink croc one either, I don't think it matches the sporty feeling of the watch.

Also, there's this new one with diamond marker instead of numbers came out just this past summer, I found that one nice (and more affordable) coz with diamonds yet not as flashy as those with diamonds all around. That one with just diamond markers is like $3850 ($700 more than the normal without diamonds)

Also, I think if anyone wanna buy that watch you gotta go buy it in person to try the length of the band. Chanel has its own little tool specifically designed to adjust the length of the j12 ceramic band. It took my SA so long time to figure the length that I feel comfortable with, we kept taking out & putting in the little pieces of ceramic to try out what's the perfect size for me!

oooh, we should start a new thread! i dunno how though, i'm hopeless with computers glad other folks like the watch. could someone do the honors?

to get the 227 or not... i should probably save the money though. the grey wouldn' stain as easily as the white ! (still having palpitations from the pink stain!)

cool! i wanna see a pic of the pink croc band sometime. plus it'd be neat to have the sizes and prices here too post one post all. thanks guessgirl!

i know the 33 mm is quartz and the 38 mm is automatic...the 38 i think is extremely large and from what the SA on chanel's 800 number said, it's mostly for men.
