I remember Natalie Portman wearing one when she wore that 'mediteraean goddess' dress.
I just found one very very similar to it at an antique mall. I've never been so excited

Good luck with your website! That's a good idea. My friends from ballet and I used to make headbands and we'd all wear them to class. I'm excited that headbands are more acceptable now. I love wearing them. I also love when people call them "Alice bands" because my name is Alice!

adorable band nr9dream
always been a hairband/scarve girl here, but for ss05 love mine when i have my hair up.. its a little between a 60's and a nomad look, depending what i wear it with or what kind of scarve/band i use ..

why dont you try a new vintage crochet accessories thread here at trendspotting nr9, then we can all join in with more pics

Thanks Lena & Utopia

Since I first posted this I’ve been on a mission to find some accessories by the Girl and the Gorilla but unfortunately their headbands seem all sold out I did see some lovely cloche hats at Onward in Paris…

I have a few pics which I will post in a new thread.

I adore headbands! I wore them all through kindergarten to 2nd grade. haha. I don't think I can pull them off as well as others can though.

I especially love them here:

Does anyone know how to make one's hair have volume behind the band? I tried by flipping my head up side down and then slidding on the band but it uh.....didn't last. Any idea what product to usee or how you'd apply them? Please help me out b/c i'm useless with hair. Thanks much!

wide hair bands are adorable.... oddly enough, claire's (cheap little girl's accesorry store) has an awesome selection of tons of different hairbands.
