The watch is hideous though! I would spend that money on something else, like this Gucci that I once had, and lost in one of my adventures

And I would still have 23,000 to spend on clothes!!

Me too, it's horrible. Then again I hate most Jaeger-Le-Coultres, Paitek-Phillipes, Rolexes, Cartiers just about all the uber-expensive brands....

P.S. Is that a 7800L Alejandro? If it is I was thinking of buying the very same watch a few years ago (went and blew all the money on something else).

To each his/her own, but I think that the Gucci watch is pretty ugly and tacky. Plus it's been knocked off to death and it's pretty common. Hermes watches (including the new Dressage) are so beautiful and understated but they still have a signature style.

By the time that I bought it, it was when It was launched, it was the umph by that time, and I totally understand. I just like the simplicity of the watch...

I also want to add that my first reaction was a bit too much for what I felt about the watch, "hideous" is a real strong word in my vocabulary , hope I didnt offended anyone

I just don't like the line of the watch- it's brutal to my eye, just my opinion....

Hermes is working the trashy look with the tongue-in-cheek cheapo looking watch that actually costs more than some earn in a year. Didn't think they'd stoop that low...

Trashy? Hermes is probably the farthest thing away from trashy. I think the Dressage watch is very, very old money--much in the tradition of Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe, Piaget, Ulysse-Nardin, and other classic, expensive watch specialists. I'd say the Gucci watch posted is far trashier than the Hermes.
