I have one multi-coloured zig-zag knit one that I had almost forgotten about until this thread popped up! I bought it last year and wore it loads over the summer but because of the bright colours in it I haven't really thought of wearing it this winter...must dig it out again cause spring it hopefully coming into the air here!

Tolani scarves are a more affordable option and they remind me of Missoni ones a lot.

I picked this up a while ago and I'm so in love with it! It's got a great mix of browns with added greyish and purple tones so it goes with a lot of color combinations. You can also put your hands in the pockets

The pictures don't do it justice..

^^very nice!

missoni really does make some really great scarves...
and with sites like gilt and hautelook you can find them for really reasonable prices
i actually ended up buying my boss one (for christmas) and she loves it... wears it all the time

there are a lot of nice color combinations and the prints/patterns make them versatile, you can wear them with a surprising amount of things

i only have a silk missoni scarf for myself...
but i'm a big fan of that on the beach
and actually just remembered that i have another knit one as well, but that's a bit summery as well...
very pretty though

That's a really nice present! I wish I was your boss:p

Yes! They're very versatile and timeless (at least in my opinion) so they're well worth the price. I love the amount of color combinations because you will always find something that suits you and your style. And I like how you can find a lot of knitted ones that aren't too fall/winter-ish. All the ones I have except for one that's very summerish work all year round because they're not too thickly knitted.

I haven't tried the silk ones yet so that might be my next one. How big is yours? I've never bought them online though so thanks for the tip, they don't come that cheap.

my boss and i have an unconventional relationship to say the least

the silk one i have is relatively thin width-wise and is long-ish...
i don't think the ends reach my hips if it's draped around my neck though if that makes sense

on the beach i've often wrapped it around my head and have liked the way it's looked

It sounds similar to the size of my summerish ones.

I've always wanted to do the wrapping around my head thing but I NEVER get it right. I always end up looking like my mom does when she cleans the house:p

it's kind of a difficult look to pull off

that's why i only attempt it at the beach/by the pool
