^ I agree that they're definitely worth the money, but I do wish they were cheaper! I always hear the faint screams of my wallet every time I consider a new purchase.

The better lenses for the d40x cost more than the camera itself!

I bought myself the d40x in August of last year. It's my baby.

Here are some pictures from my flickr.

MicroFiber Cloths
I've started cleaner my filter/lens with a MicroFiber Cloth. It seems to work well and there are no scratches.
So, just wondering if someone else here uses it or is it really bad for my lens/filter?
and also, Will there be some side effects to my lens?

I adore the image quality of the pictures everyone has posted. I want this camera badly - I'm going to forgo some of my gratuitous fashion purchases and invest in this camera. I'm no photography expert but the pictures I've seen in this thread are amazing.

I hope you end up purchasing the camera, Luxx! It's mighty expensive, but the quality and features well make up for it. At least, that's what I'm trying to convince myself.

Looking through the thread, I realized I haven't contributed any of the photos I've taken with my D40x. Better change that.

Wow seanut! Your pictures are lovely, I especially love that one of the Golden Gate Bridge. Gorgeous!

I have ordered my D40 and it should arrive in a few days! I cannot wait to take some pictures
