Try mynamenecklace.com. They do custom necklaces in the metal you wish.

I love it on the character of Carrie because in my mind it reinforces that I'm not watching SJP, I'm watching an actor getting into a persona... but in real life, I wouldn't walk around with a necklace proclaiming my name. I'd feel that I was giving something away - that strangers around me knew more about me than I did about them.

I haven't seen it yet, but it would be so out-of-character if she didn't wear it at least once.

i like the tatty devine name necklaces

they come in three different fonts too and loads of colours including mirrored ones you can also have a charm hanging from it if you want. i'd get one if it wasnt for the fact i think my name doesnt look asthetically pleasing on paper.

i bought my friend one with her nickname on it and i think she loves it since she actually wears it.

Yes, it's my name and it belongs to me, and if someone wants to know it, they'll have to do a lot more than simply eyeball my chest area.

That said, if I was trying to sell myself to the world, I'd be wearing one in neon diamante. Maybe I should get myself one, just to see what happens when I wear it. In fact, I wonder what would happen if you experimented with wearing different names, to see if they elicited different reactions.

So wearing a name necklace = sellout ?!

A necklace is something very delicate and small, not like a tattoo or a top professing your name. I think it's cute. Nothing wrong with it.

I couldn't see it

My friend was going to wear her "Kim" one to the film, but it looked really awful. You have to have a certain look for it..

I live in a place where there's a longstanding social division, and your name can make it apparent what side you belong to, and I'd never want someone in my own surroundings to pre-judge me from seeing my name, if I can help it. Sometimes a name is more than just a collection of letters.

My cousins gave me one in silver .. but I never wore it much since I dint want everyone passing by to know my name!
But I like the idea of the stamped disc, its less obvious and its cute

How about two names at once? You could really mess with people if you wanted.
