Sex & the City "Carrie" Necklace
So SATC is back, so is the name necklace trend!!!

Do you like it? Or do you think it's tacky?

....... I am pretty there's a way around it, to make it look cute. Guess it depends on how you style it.

Would you wear it or not?

So curious.....

i've never liked this but i have a friend who has one and i actually think she looks gorgeous wearing it....she's very little and has a kind of messy, layered, girly style...so it works...it suits her..
...personally i dont think i could wear it, it would look really stupid on me. but i think on rare occasions it can be pulled off...

looks cool on carrie, of course...

Not my style. If you want to know my name, ask me. I'd rather say it than wear it.

^ That's true.

I find it tacky to wear these, like a collar.

i've had mine since i was 10, and i dont wear it cus my mom has it, in fear of me getting rid of it.

i dont know, maybe i'll wear it, it's never crossed my mind to be a trend, considering every kid in latin america got one of those. haha

I have one in silver and wear it lots. You know, it's not like everyone immediately knows your name when you wear it. People never really notice it because I still get asked for my name. In fact, I can't recall it having been the other way round at any occasion. So, nothing tacky there..

Up until its debut on Sex and the City, the nameplate necklace was associated with teased hair, unfortunate '80s ensembles, and teenage girls; thanks to Carrie, the bauble became a covetable bijoux.

think it looks the best when you wear it for fun. because most of those are wayyy to tacky. but if you wear it and you KNOW it's funny than you can pull it off i guess. Just like hers, it was a cheap-*** necklace which she bought at a fair with her friends.
there is a personal story behind it and she wasn't looking for a gorgeous necklace or anything.

thats my theorie
