Shutter Shades
I searched and couldn't even find anything on these in the sunglasses forum.

I really want a pair and they're really cheap - but will I look too 80s scenester sonic wave homothug?

I think the black ones could look good (not too kitschy + tacky)

^ Is that Joe Simpson with Ashlee?

& I only like the shades on Kanye, everyone else looks odd. I wonder how you see in them...

^lol it is Joe and Ashlee - but I swear that was not my inspiration for them.

I'm sure I want them just on a whim and if I wait a few days I'll realize! - yet I still find them intriguing - even if they are something I would normally never wear

i've seen these for sale on street stalls in soho, NY.
sorry, it's rather specific!
they were $10.
I just laughed when I saw them.
had no idea somebody had reproduced them..
i swear there were only about 5 sets of the originals made popular by kanye west.
can't rememer who the originals were designed by. first thought it was LV but now highly doubt that.

I really hate these! They're just plain annoying to me and will die out in 5mins but there will alwyas be the ones who will proliferate them for another year. I just don't think they're cool..they seem gimmicky and too pushed by Kanye West, who I happen not to like all that much either...

These are gimmicky and crazy but I try to take them in an ironic way. I haven't seen anyone wearing them in real life just yet - at least not in a day to day manner. They tend to pop up at parties or in photos where people are trying to be cute more so.

They make me giggle though so I don't mind them.

Wouldn't those mess up your vision big time?

I don't think so...

I bought a pair from Pop Killer in LA for around $20. Ebay has a ton of them up.

Seems to me that staring through those horizontal lines would get to you after awhile. Then again, I've never tried.

They have them at every sunglass stand in the Los Angeles fashion district, just about. Only $5, and I wouldn't pay more for the knock-offs because they are probably all the same.
