I don't understand the aversion towards black + brown (same with black + navy). I don't really wear brown, but I have no problem with the combo.

I don't mind the combination normally. The only situation that seems to bother me is when someone wears khakis and black shoes.

Very cute Bruna Tenório's outfit on post 61 !

Sometimes I wear black+ brown, Ithink it depends of the shade of brown to look good, the darkest ones are the hardest to combine with black.

I find pretty much all dark colours to go together. I don't wear black, but i mix brown, navy, dark grey and dark green without any problem

I agree, black and brown isn't so bad.. But the other day I wore navy tights by accident (thought they were black) with black boots and they looked terrible!!

i do not buy many brown items because of this "rule". i also dont like most earth tones. i think they can look aging.

i dont see many people wearing the two colors together.

i have some brown suede ferragamo flats that ive never worn because i have a hard time "matching" them with any items. the only thing i can wear them with is a linen suit which i only wear in the summer time.

black and camel go OK together, IMO.

^ Please do post a pic!

Im thinking maybe matching it with navy or white ... one of those mariniere tops would work awesome with those shoes!
