thought this thread was probably the best place to go...

personally, i think turquoise/teal/peacock blue (whatever you want to call it) and dark chocolate brown (less red than that) go really well together, but i'm not in the kind of mood to be totally adventurous

so, i wondered what other people thought of this combination?

for the record, i would be wearing a white button up shirt, some kind of blue top over that and chocolate city shorts.

blue i'm thinking of: http://www.buygifttissue.com/images/Turquoise.gif
brown i'm thinking of: http://www.ecosilkbags.com.au/images...late-brown.gif

Mini-mini dress or just a top?
Hey, I need some help! I'm goint to wear this big mens size XL striped tee, but unfortunately it wasn't long enough for me to surely wear at as a mini-mini dress with leggings as I wanted. It's still pretty long, but it doesn't cover my whole butt when I walk and wears it naturally. So I was wondering, would it be weird to STILL wear it just with leggings? Or should I wear it with my white mini-dress under, so it covers my whole butt? (The leggings are NOT transparent).

With white dress

Without white dress

I need answers quickly, going to a concert on Friday! Thanks in advance

i agree with the white dress comment too--i also think it would look good with a big black belt around your waist--but that might not be the look you're going for

allmyshoes, I've seen people wear that combination all the time, except in a darker tone. Like, a saturated dark brown with a more jewel-y looking turquoise. I think it looks nice.

I was thinking the same thing about the belt! I think it would look good with this outfit. But I agree with everyone that the top looks better withthe dress underneath.

Thank you all for your answers! I'm pretty sure I will wear it with the dress now. About the belt thing, that wouldn't be the look I'm after. I'm more that loose clothes over leggings-girl. But maybe I'll try how it looks like and see. I see now in the pics that I would look fatter without the dress under. Well, well, thanks again!

AllMyShoes...yes, chocolate brown & that shade of blue would work..IMO, a deep, rich chocolate brown actually goes quite nicely w/ a lot of colors, including diff't shades of greens, reds and blues..To me, its just as effective as black..

Best of luck w/ your outfit!

ivypixie that looks really good with the dress underneath it

I'm going to a party next weekend with some people from work, probably going for a drink afterwards but I dont want to do the whole dress thing....so I've got a couple of ideas but they need tweaking.

First is black skinny jeans, pink vintage shoes, yellow vest under Stella top.
I like this but it looks a bit plain, maybe needs jewellery?

2nd one is the same but with a Religion top, I like this one better but again does it need a belt, or accessories?

Either way the shoes stay :p

Any opinions would be gratefully received

i like the first look. i think it's not too plain, i like that it's so simple, and the red shoes top it off well. but if you want accessoires, i think some chunky black bracelets maybe?
