It depends of your body time and your legs, I have boyish body so I'd chose:
DAY BIRGER ET MIKKELSON EMLA SKIRT -I was thinking of it my self and I will wear it with fitted top and platform. like the outfit here #3455
ADAM+EVE SATIN PLEATED SKIRT I love that one too, but it's a bit short for me.

I don't want to buy a new dress for prom, so I thought about either wearing the silk dress or a simple LBD.
Would the silk dress look ok with the shoes? I'm not too fond of the dress anymore so it's hard for me to judge...
I'd be grateful for some quick answers because I'll have to decide whether to get the shoes or not in until Friday

^ I like it better with the shoes you're wearing in the photo For prom, seems like formal shoes would work better to dress it up?

Thank you two for your opinion.
I've decided against the dress so now I'm on the search for a new one that suits the shoes
Any suggestions?
(I can't find the "what goes with theses shoes" thread b/c I don't remember the exact title...)

hmm...no idea! i have these uber-tall beige peeptoe slingbacks that go with everything, perhaps that to elongate my legs? with such a dramatic sillhouette (skinny up top, poofy on bottom), i think the taller i look, the better. thanks for the feedback!

Does this work? I'm not going for anything fantastic here, cos I'm fine with it being just okay, but I wore this out a few days ago and my mother said it looked weird. And since my second guessing self takes these things to heart, I thought I'd ask for a more reliable opinion (i.e. not my mother's). Maybe the belt is too thin? Hmm. And on another note, the tank is dark brown, not black...
