STYLEOCIDE, I can see that being a good fall or spring shirt, depending on how you style it. I can see it with boyfriend jeans and whatever kind of sandals you prefer: espadrilles, standard flats, yellow YSL tribs, whatever. Must say, but not a flip-flop person though. As long as your summers aren't too hot, I can see it working just as well in the summer. I like it.

I'm trying to be prepared for summer before the weather really warms up. I'm also determined not to be in the same position every summer. It's funny how fall, winter and even spring fashion is easy for me. But once summer comes around I'm so lost and clueless. I suppose my body issue plays a role but when I think about it my legs aren't that bad and I'll try to compromise at least once.

Last summer was horrible for me and I found myself hating the heat, why? Because my wardrobe was unprepared for it.

Thankfully I learnt my lesson and I'm now stocking up on thin, easy to wear pieces that are not only stylish but practical too. I'm going to live in flats, soft t-shirts and lightweight dresses.

It's starting to really heat up now ... 98 today I think. I'm trying to wear loose & floating things, and stay away from black as much as possible if I'm going to be outside ...

Right now I wear summer dresses that are flowing and cotton. At night, I wear a denim jacket or a light weight cardigan

has anyone tried bamboo?

i read it is cool on the skin
(and also naturally anti-odour, anti-bacterial)

i was going to buy some the other day but it was pretty expensive, so i'm going to look for another store... the woman there showed me one fabric of it and it had a really nice sheen, like silk and a heavy drape

I don't know if I once bought bamboo socks for the fella, I might have just looked at them though. But yeah, I heard it is the good stuff.

Summer dressing
This is easy 'cos it's perpetually summer where I live (Singapore). I reach for loose, breezy clothes in breath-able fabrics and I like to inject bright colours and prints into my outfits. Necklaces are another great way to jazz up the look and add a personal touch.

I have found some really lightweight airy washed out dresses which I will contradict with gold jewellery and black patent sandals w/red nailpolish.

I have finally found a few items I am happy with, I have added a few olive coloured items to my mix of white and blacks. Usually I have really prolem with summer dressing, but I am feeling really inspired.

I have figured out in summer is really all about the small details, and I want to be comfortable most of all... becaue IMO that is what is sexy, but it's about finding a balance and not look sloopy, I guess that has always been my problem before, everyone tends to look the same with the cheap colourful tent dresses and big sunglasses. Ugh

Agree with Hebden, that description alone is inspiring to me.
