I'm still more practical than stylish when it comes to clothes.

My winter dress is usually jeans and boots topped with a poloneck sweater and a jacket or coat over that.

it's some sort of built in knit legwarmers.
the boots, to be in stores in september, are from another new line from Y's, "kayo nakamura by Y's".
seems like it's a small accessory (mostly footwear) line, and the theme for the first capsule is medallion.

There is an ocean of puffy coats out there around here. I've just noticed it a few weeks ago because I had an assigment relevant to that piece.
It seems like a classic now that every winter I make something violently voluminous to stand the cold. I am going for "ball of fabric" look I guess.

i love cashmere sweaters. i own three that i rotate throughout winter. one is navy, one grey, and one "acorn" shade from j crew with a black lopsided heart on it.
I love layering my collared shirts underneath.
For jackets, i prefer my army green faux-fur hooded anorak to my puffy navy blue winter jacket.
i would really love a canada goose down jacket though! (waay out of my price range)
i also own a bright blue pashmina, i only wear it sometimes because i feel it is very loud and attention-grabbing.
i also like wearing my faux uggs. i have knightsbridge boots in black, but i outgrew them because my calves are too big to fit in them anymore.()
here is a pic of miranda kerr wearing them:

i love them but your calves have to be SO thin for them to zip in the back. i was so surprised to see her swimming in them.

i love winter though, i'm in upstate ny.
the main thing is just to layer up and make sure your feet are warm.
