Elegance at Home
We spend much of our time around the house, be it sipping tea and reading The New Yorker, lounging on the couch watching movies, or pretending to garden, while really just admiring our newly aquired miniature rose brambles. So, I'm interested to know what everyone wears when you're not dressing for anyone but yourself. Do you prefer matching silk chemise and robe in pale peach, your trusty old juicy velour ensemble, or a fresh out of the dryer James Perse tee and cropped yoga pants?

Post your favorite, bumming around the house outfit and if you want, describe what your prefer to do when you've got the day to yourself in your fabulous threads.

xoxo C xoxo

The New Yorker sucks.

As far as lounging, I entrust myself to this wild beast,

The New Yorker is great free-the-mind fodder. Do you have any alternate short story pubs that come out on a regular basis you'd like to reccomend?

As for me, I usually wear (although I don't make such bizarre expressions):

This thread is about "bumming around the house" attire. Please stay on topic and do not disparage others' choices in reading material.

All photos must be properly credited or they will be removed.

Please refer to the tFS guidelines if any of this is unclear, and feel free to PM me or any other moderator if you have any questions or concerns.

My bumming around the house attire consists of jeans, tee shirts, sneakers, a red pencil and a blue pencil.

Seeing as il fait beau:

One pair of shorts - Adidas (because it's cheaper than Puma and Nike)
One bottle of Coke Zero - Coca Cola
One pair of black frame aviators - Ray Ban
One copy of Proust - Gallimard
Not much else...

I've been looking for a thread like this for awhile. As for me its usually black yoga pants and I'm looking for a cute matching top. I also have my terry bathrobe and black-rimmed glasses for early mornings.

I really SLUM around the house. I will probably be wearing an old grimy tee with yoga pants/sweats/shorts.
Footwear of choice? Flip-flops of course!

Errm ... I mostly hang out on my underwear ...

I do have this Bill Blass cotton robe tho.

I like to wear cotton yoga like cotton pants with grey tank tops.

But my outfit worn most often is briefs, glasses and a mag or book or paper at the sofa.

i'm a couch potato at home. and i'm always on the verge of falling asleep while channel surfing, so what ever i wear at home has to also double as sleepwear. so its always my husband's sleepwear that i put on at home:
- oversized souvenir t-shirt or a free "rollerblades" t-shirt.from 5 years ago.
- my husband's boxers.
that's it.

^ YAH i wear my terry robe sometimes after showering and i never take it off till i have to go out...

As for slumming it, I'm usually in shorts & camisoles or ratty old tees that I love too much to get rid of.

White cotton t-shirt, old jeans and Tods in the summer.
Old Benetton pullover, old jeans and Tods with socks in winter.

No sportsgear or p-jays for me.
