great thread...
esp. for me right now...
I wanna wear my blazer this evening, but everything white and grey is not clean and i wanted to know if black was ok with a blazer... black and blue...
I know Helmut Lang already did a collection all based on this combination...
but I'm not really the Helmut Lang looking, nor my blazer has this blue Lang used for this collection...
i'm confused... everybody says black cannot be worn with blue... no idea where this come from... but what i see there is good for my eyes...

i did it it was pretty ok...
i wore a blazer with a black sweat (cashmere cheap version, you know... 50% cashmere + 50% i don't know what) and wore a sort of "marin" tshirt under it... with cargo pants and gucci mocassins... it was pretty good looking...
i'll try it now without being scared...

who are these people? ...
that's probably my favourite everyday combination... though I can imagine that light blue and black mightn't always look good..

Interesting thread!! Right up my alley! I am great at combining colors so they don;t clash (in my eyes lol) My friends don't understand how u can wear green and blue or yellow and brown or striped with blue jeans. Some people are soo plain

Red plus teal! It works so surprisingly well...

Again! (Her little-girly socks are just fantastic with that 'mature' coat... I think the shoes are even dark green?)

Notice the lime-green shoes...

You can get lazy and just wear colorful shoes... By the way, I wish I could modify a shapeless parka to create one of these (Junya?)-- without deflating it.

And because combining white and black can be deceptively tricky...

Orange + raspberry/fuchsia always gets my attention. Also: teal + plum, orange + mauve + olive, and black + white + brown. I actually keep a list of color combos I like ... makes dressing easier.
