Ha, my closet is out and around my bedroom, all the time. Once a month I clean the whole mess ( of course I do laundry more often ), put everything nicely to ledges and hangers, and next morning I start making the mess again =D Eventually all my clothes are by chairs and floor, unless they`re in washing basket.

At the weekend I wash and dry everything. Then I throw it over the sofa so I can see and plan for the week! Not the most orderly of systems LOL! I know im changing it as we speak!

All my dresses and blouses and all BF's shirts and coats hang nice and neat on the wardrobe-thingy from Ikea. The rest - sweaters, tees, tank tops, jeans - is trown in the closet which I didn't dare to photograph I keep the shoes I wear right now in the hall. I don't have a place to store my summer clothes, so I just keep it with the other clothes.

It's more or less colour organized... I have a lot of cream/white shirts, some blue tops and then the rest is black.

My Organized Closet

Somehow, I can leave dishes in the sink (instead of loading the dishwasher that’s two feet away), and I’ll let random things pile up on the dining room table, but I am not someone that can shove a bunch of stuff behind closed doors and consider it “put away”. Yes, I DO that (I’m nowhere near perfect), but it bothers me and bothers me until I can go through and thoroughly clean and organize everything. So that’s what I did this weekend.

My closet is a freestanding wardrobe from IKEA. It’s nothing special from the outside, but everything fits inside. Clothes, shoes, hats, purses, jewelry… it’s all in there.

Here’s the overall layout:

I think I got rid of about half of my shoes when I cleaned everything out. I decided to only keep the shoes I really loved… the cute heels, the simple flats that go with everything. All the shoes I had been holding onto that hurt my feet or that I never wore just had to go. Now the shoes I have fit nicely in two drawers.

My boots go along the back, tucking behind my dresses.

And speaking of dresses, here they are:

My jewelry and perfume used to be over by the bathroom, but I thought it made more sense to keep everything together with my clothes.

Brandon was a bit shocked at how much I was getting rid of, but I feel so much better. My sister took some of it, and all the rest was donated to charity. And now I’m nicely organized.

^ :O That is amazeing! I'm so jealous.

I'm currently redoing my wardrobe and have just finished painting my room. Sadly my wardrobe is built in and let say that my father who designed it had no clue so sadly I don't have much to work with.

I don't have a closet in my room. I have a free standing wardrobe from IKEA. It's a simple one with 2 large drawers and a hanging area up top. It fits so much, I can't even believe it!

I group everything together. The top drawer has my PJs, socks, underwear, bras, belts, work-out shorts, and tights/leggings. The bottom drawer has t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, tank tops, sweaters, shorts, and skirts. Up top on the hanging bar I keep some of my dresses, my jeans, and my nicer tops.

Then downstairs I have the coat closet as my other closet. My roommates both have large closets in their rooms so they let me have the coat closet. I keep my shoes, coats, and more dresses there.

Sorry to disappoint you, but that's not my closet. You can find the source at the beginning of my post.
