I find inspiration from old pics of Bardot, Talitha Getty (when I can find them) and some Bollywood Movies. I also love pics of the Olsens. Generally they've all inspired my daytime uniform: clutches in the day, big sunglasses, and 60's style knits and tops.

dark chocolates in the window display, macaroons of all colours, sugared almonds, the colour & smell of the sea, buds coming on the trees & flowers as winter ends, the sound of birds singing early in the morning, a **** crowing, seeing the first swallow of summer, the excitement of seeing a fashion show, rachmananov, the mystique of religion, the smell of a catholic church .......to name but a few, are all some of the things that inspire me....

and this pair....

and this little house....

^ All the pictures.

I love this thread. It's my new source of inspiration.
As it was, I already spent a great deal of time just watching pictures... as though I thought they might change at any moment.

I'm not so sure of the first two, as I've had them saved for ages...

but the black& whites are by the photographer Melvin Sokolsky www.melvinsokolsky.com - he has done so many beautiful images it's hard to choose just a few favourites!

lovely everyone, lovely.... I get alot of inspiration from thrift stores. Even if I don't buy some of the stuff, I find ways to work it.

This is such a cool topic!

I love the style of movies set in the 60s/70s!

A few of my cinematic inspirations include: Monsieur Ibrahim, Goodbye Lenin, The Dreamers, soo many others!

but that's just one of my sources. I also get great ideas from the runway, from thrift stores, hell, i've even gotten style tips from anime!

basically i think for me, inspiration is everywhere!
