this is such a great thread! softgrey i love the new york pictures and your list, utopia, the pictures you posted are wonderful and i have similar influences (julia margaret cameron etc.) and runner, dolls was also a great inspiration for me!
from the top of my head: bavarian painter winold reiss, klaus mann, paula modersohn becker...for their art and lives, the old cemetery in my neighbourhood... |

utopia...great ones i missed...dancers...celtic crosses and symbols...and cemetaries are wonderful too...especially old ones...
they're better in europe because they're not so old here...  saw some incredible ones in ireland... helena...i had a trip planned...but it was unavoidably cancelled at the last minute and never rescheduled...i'll get there soon enough...  northern england is quite spectacular as well...in terms of the countryside... this painting... well...a copy...was hanging in my school from kindergarten to grade 6... i think i memorized every brushstroke... then i eventually saw it in real life...that was remarkable for me... vincent van gogh's...a starry night...
