^I'm currently saving for my Burberry trench. Being so tiny, I was considering getting a kid's Burberry trench, but I think I'll have to try it on in the store. Was it naive of me to think that all Burberry trenches were rainproof? Now I'll have to take the gabardine coats into consideration. Thanks for the tip advo.

^You're welcome

I believe most of them are somewhat water-resistant for light rain but the gabardine ones are the best. I stopped by a store today to try them on. It was actually okay at knee length, so I might get that and get the sleeves shortened. Alternatively, they do make one even shorter that I'm waitlisted for and will try.

^I'm so excited for you.

I'll have to stop by the store soon. I really like that they do free alterations, but I'd probably need to have the coat taken in and I've heard the tailors usually flat out refuse to do that. Are you going to get the coat hemmed?

Free alternations - not in Denmark! Unfortunately, that's not a free service here. Cost around $100. I also enquired about getting it hemmed which would coat an additional $100. So, I would seriously prefer not needing it hemmed. I'll pick one at the length that suits me the best. Unfortunately, with sleeves, there aren't different lengths so I'll likely need to get that done.

I saw Dion Lee's collaboration with Cue online and have been lusting over this trench coat for months. Haven't seen it in person though, and I'm also petite, so it may not look good on me:

^LUST!!!

I loved all the stuff I saw from Dion for Cue but as far as I know, it's only available in AU, right?

That stinks! It's one of the appealing aspects of getting a trench from the boutique itself.

that trench is amazing! but I'd never be able to pull it off.

Yes, only in Australia... I keep hoping it will pop up magically in my size on ebay, but it doesn't look like it'll be happening anytime soon, haha.

Thanks advo! I actually have read this before, but that hasn't stopped me from reading and re-reading it in my search for the perfect trench.

Well I am also looking for the perfect trench but I don't know what it is. I am torn between the perfect trench for my weather and my tolerance (or intolerance) to the cold OR a really nice but maybe not as warm trench that I could use my all life (I hope I am not going to spend my whole life somewhere so cold).

So far here is my selection
- Burberry London long cotton gabardine trench coat
- Burberry London long cotton gabardine slim fit trench
- Burberry brit mid length wool twill trench coat
- Double wool twill trench coat with a detachable collar

We will see..
