Personal must-haves for F/W 08.09
Are we ready?!?!?!

What I know so far is that I must have a Lanvin grosgrain or pleated piece such as ...

the plan for fall...based on must haves and inspiring looks. junya vest and jacket and skirt (this is going to be a collection I want to wrap myself in). isabel marant...sharp shoulder top and plaid dress (both just seem so thoughtless and easy to wear, yet have so much darn attitude). dries van noten, its all about the sweaters for me (so heady and artsy). tao denim skirt was true love the minute I saw this (I hope the price point isnt as high as my hopes are). marni jacket, skirt and color inspiration (her eye for color was so on target this season, I want to create a whole closet around it).

Shoes...just a couple.

junya bootie and marni something...most likely toe-less ankle boot. I'm totally psyched about both of these.

one can dream, right?

ta-ta - lovely lovely picks! I really hope you post pictures if you do get a piece, I'm sure they are even more spectacular up close.

luckyme - you've posted some of my favorite looks! the Dries look is my favorite of the collection, down to the shoes. I'm even warming up to the black socks!! and I would looooovvveee one of those Junya pieces. I'm scared about the prices though.

I haven't figured out Fall yet ... I'm still working on Spring! But the Dries look luckyme posted is a major inspiration. Another favorite look is this from TSE (style.com). I am all about skirts for Fall.

^ Ooooh, gorgeous skirt, tourist

It's so great to have Barney's here now ... I find it nearly impossible to shop for this kind of thing long distance, so now I'm in with a chance

luckyme, I knew you'd be up for this And I agree with you about Marni, those colors were gorgeous.

Bottega Veneta:

I've narrowed mine down to these: *

style.com

(Jil Sander)

(Junya Wantanabe)

(Tao)

*provided I can find them for sale. It's always so disappointing if I save up for certain items but then come to realize they're not available for purchase. Wishful thinking this year, though

i know for sure i will have to get a short junya jacket. if i don't get anything else, i won't care. as long as i get a grey/slate-coloured one. It's been the only thing that i've loved as soon as i saw it.

style.com

i the one Lucky posted too!!!

the other piece that stood out for me would be a rick owens fur jacket ... but that it out, both in terms of price and practicality.

style.com

i like this too but i'm not dreaming about it

Inaya, the whole of that Tao look is fabulous!!

since we all picked different junya pieces maybe we could have our own "sisterhood of the traveling jackets"

tourist, ta-ta, justlooking, inaya, and laurelie...you are all my fashion sisters.
