Personal must-haves for Spring 09
Anyone planning for spring yet? I haven't yet seen anything recession-worthy enough

I hear you there; I haven't found a new job yet, so I kinda CAN'T get anything...

I look at the trends though and I realize that I don't really HAVE to buy anything because I already have a lot of stuff. The one thing I really am looking for is a good pair of shorts or two-I cannot live without them, and I am wanting some nicer ones.

^ Good luck with the new job, they are out there It's quite true, when it comes right down to it, we can be clothed with what's in our closets already

this season, my must haves have turned into a small group of picks...the closet is looking fine from good choices in past seasons.

now that i got that out of the way. I am going to have a hell of a time resisting demeulemeester shoes this season, sophmore t-shirts, a costume national wedge and a dropped crotch trouser.

trista, when you get employed the first thing you should do is buy yourself the shorts that you earned. good luck finding one soon, its going to get better.

Yes.

Think late 80s yuppie fashion mixed with high end accessories. Brooks Brothers clothing, Louboutin shoes, Chanel purses.

Except with my colors limited to: tiffany blue, lavender, yellow, red, metallics, and neutrals.

No more than two colors per outfit, not counting the neutrals.

Lots of tan.

I think my main buy is going to be a big colourful clutch. Balenciaga or Marc by Marc Jacobs would be perfect... Will see if I get enough cash for that because the finance crisis has affected me as well..

Some lavender or purple shoes would be fun ... but this is one of those bright ideas I get without knowing what's available, so ...

Actually some purple shoes sound good And maybe something a little out of my usual comfort zone,I get stuck in a shoe rut of the same old design so next pair of shoes I get I'm going to think outside the box

Shoes are certainly at their best outside the box

I've found a really cute half-sleeve cardigan that I'm thinking of buying in multiple colors as per usual I've only seen it in the catalog, you never know if things are going to work till you get them, but hopefully sweaters will ...

PS I posted pix in the French wardrobe thread if anyone's interested ...
