Thank you ! Skirts are indeed my favorite items! Here is one from Paco Rabanne Fall'04 collection. The band on top is leather, the vertical asymetrical strips are grey wool tweed and the black rings holding strips together are metal (they are best visible on runway as vertical rows of metal rings). Worn with prada jacket and alaia flats.

I love skirts too, always have ... skirts & shoes were always my statement items. I've added some, but those have stayed with me ...

Ah, my approach exactly . Interesting skirts and shoes with a variety of black sweaters. Fashionista-ta, please post more of yours!
Here is a gucci skirt from fall'04 (TF's last collection) -- it's silver on runway. The skirt has vertical mini-pleat-seams. Style.com and my own pics.
Brigadeiro, I love your Burberry Prorsum outfit! I just discovered this label a year ago and realized that BP's fitted silhouettes are actually perfect for me and have the exactly correct waist-hip ratio that I need (a rarity!). So I got two trenches, a 3-piece suit and some sweaters (I do not think they were from runway collections, but I'll check). And I love the necklace your sisters bought for you -- how wonderfully thoughtful! (I picked it up and put it down several times in the store, but it is just too big for me...).
Here is a miu miu skirt from spring'05 (burgundy/rust on runway); irl, the khaki version actually has a purplish tint to it and the pleats are slightly at a diagonal. Worn with prada jacket (do not have runway pic) and r. shah shoes. Style.com and my own pics.

Vika, you do indeed have the best skirts!!! re: Burberry Prorsum necklaces - they had smaller versions, in acrylic (so not has heavy, not as big) LOVE Burberry Prorsum too!
Brigadeiro -- thank you! You do draping so amazingly well and the combination of the softness of the dress and the edgy sandals is perfect!
Here is another skirt combo -- Marc by MJ, fall'07, celine sweater (can't find runway pic -- bought it last fall), and commercial version of croc prada sandals from spring'06. Style.com and my own pics.

Oh dear! I did it here too, I'm afraid I was too lazy to type the items out, and cut & paste it, didn't mean to keep the links in, and I can't edit it, I'm very sorry moderators!
very interesting to see the jacket worn open like that...
i never would have realized it was the same piece...
that is what i love..
seeing how people make things their own by wearing them with other things and styling them in a way that is completely different from the runway...
lovely...
