Okay I just want to say that the people who live in L.A. and wear flip flops in the rain should stop. My feet get wet just from looking at you people.
CASE IN POINT

pic from JustJared.com

Anyways, I love rainy day fashion. Big coats with big hoodies, long shiny boots, and black leather gloves. I could go on but it will just make me even sadder because my f/w wardrobe is so small.

I just wanted to give you a short update. Since I'm in Ireland it hasn't rained much. So I can wear my usual stuff and don't have to bother.

It seems my footwear is never appropriate when it rains--I guess I need to read this thread :p

When it's raining I stay away from long pants that hit the ground and prefer wearing skinnies. I also avoid canvas shoes. Aside from that it's just usual clothing plus an umbrella, and I try to avoid puddles.

a t-shirt, a hoodie, shorts and flip flops.

like that, even if your feet get wet, it doesn't even matter.

just make sure to get into dry clothes asap when you're home.

btw, this logically only applies to summer

I tend to give good old mother Nature the middle finger and wear the most irritatingly eye blistering color combinations I can manage when I see the rain in the morning. Sometimes I wear skirts, in fact the last times it's rained I wore skirts and heels. xD I'm so wise.

jadedskies, that's a nice trench!

Today it's raining & I'm wearing sandals ... I slipped them off & walked barefoot with the shoes under my umbrella coming back from lunch

I always wear my navy blue trenchcoat, often with black tights, a dress and pretty flats. Catherine Deneuve in Les Parapluies de Cherbourg is the ultimate style inspiration for rainy days, imo
