I love my rain gear....actually, they're not necessarily sold as rain coats/jackets they're just made out of polyester.

For winter, I have 2 Lanvin trenches(one is lighter with batwing sleeves, the other is lightly padded, single-breasted with bijoux buttons), one Lanvin jacket with batwing sleeves for in between weather, and for summer I have my coated silk(it feels like polyester though, and it's water resistent)Marni coat with 3/4 sleeves or my navy blue Lacoste light, cropped parka with 3/4 length sleeves.

Also, I love buying folded umbrellas and I have about 10 of them I buy one every time I see a really cute one that's light weight. I don't like carrying an umbrella around and like to pack it inside of my bag, so I never buy a big one. Finding a relatively large-ish cute umbrella that's light and small when folded can be tough, so I'm always on alert! So far the cutest ones are Lu Lu Guiness ones. I'm looking forward to the Lanvin umbrellas

I hate rain so much, so the way I look at it is that I have to have fun somehow...so this way, I get excited to wear my rain gear when it's raining outside as opposed to hating the weather, hating the clothes getting wet, having bad hair day, etc.

Oh, and for bags, I normally have nylon bags for rain(Lanvin, Stella McCartney for Le Sposac, and Longchamp)but don't really have rain shoes.
Normally, when I'm off to work, I just wear the one pair of ballet flats(Lanvin)that is my rain pair that takes lots of beating.
On days off, I wear my cowoby or motorcycle boots with Appleguard sprayed on.
And in tropics or in summer, I wear my Hawaiiannas.
Works fine for me!

I have a Burberry mac that I just love for rainy weather. It's a darkish red and you can fold it away when you're not using it and it folds up into the style of a clutch bag. It's weird but pretty cool.

I got a pair of navy cowboy rain boots because I despise the shape of normal rain boots. I get comments on them all the time and sometimes people can't immediately tell that they are rain boots(mad success). Best rain gear purchase ever.

I got them for fairly cheap, too. They are about $55 on endless.com, here and they usually have free overnight or 2-day shipping.

I love rain boots, especially hunter boots, they really make everything look better (in rain or shine!).
