I can´t see the old photos, but bringing back this old thread, as this trend is coming back!

I hope you can see the pics, I got them from ASOS website.

I just wonder what kind of jacket to wear with them?

I still wonder about the coat/jacket. most of these dresses are knitted which means they are made for super cold weather. cold weather means a jacket/coat. but what jacket would suit to such a dress? I own the green asos one posted above.

I think coat would be better, longer than the dress of course.

anyway...
it's LOVELY...

j'adore...

i was going to say something about how you always find things that i have never seen before...
but i guess it is only natural since you and YY are both japanese and you are right there 'on the front lines'...
(to use a battle analogy)

thanks so much for finding and posting that...
sometimes it's easy to take these things for granted since we all share here, but if it weren't for people posting and sharing, a lot of us would never see some of the things that are posted here...
i suppose we are the curators of our own community here...

merci, mon ami~!

kochirakoso arigato gozaimasu

a cluster of stars because there is bright yohji yamamoto of dots and lines against the black knit ground, like celestial letters written in the night.
that is another exclusive item they made for another pop-up YY shop in seibu shibuya this month. the sweater design itself is very nice. it has pockets too. and I like the idea of the points with which his name is written. if they combine the style and the lettering, what we see here could be the best way possible. but once you know YY, you'd recognize the name immediately, before we circulate about the wearer to see the whole. so I thought you would not like to wear it due to the branding even if you might like what they did itself.

ah- i see...
celestial letters written in the night sounds good!

thank you for explaining...
i could not tell what what written there...

i guess i might like it, depending how it is done...
yohji's signature is pretty great...
less like a logo and more like a lovely script...

honestly- this image is very beautiful and poetic and artistically done...
but it has multiple layers which make it difficult to see the sweater clearly...
every time i look it becomes a bit clearer as my eyes begin to focus on the various layers... but it's always still a bit unclear...
for example- i cannot see how the collar is...it's too dark...
it might just be sort of a funnel/stand up collar, but i'm not sure...
also- are the buttons all the way down or do they stop?

and i begin to see now that there is a bit of the first Y on the other side of the buttons...
and that looks quite good, actually...
i don't know...
i don't hate it...it's interesting...

* i just noticed the way yohji crosses his T...
a handwriting expert once told me that when you draw a line that way it shows self destructive tendencies...
as though you were drawing a line through yourself...
.........

*i just looked at it again
now it seems to me as if you had Yohji Yamamoto wrapping around you...
almost like a warm hug...
