I agree - it's such a fad to flaunt one's dislike for America. Although I'd certainly rather live in another country, I love a lot of things about this country (san francisco, california coastline, new orleans, arizona, etc.) and it's rather er..uncool to bash your home. Then again, I wouldn't wear a flag bikini, either.

sorry, a bit off topic.

haha. I remember one episode of tim gunn's guide to style where they had a woman who only wore cargo capris and t shirts. It's such a gross look, why do people do it to themselves???

-I hate most shorts, I consider them as incomplete pants.

-I cant stand any non-closed footwear like jandals (also known as flip-flops), sandals and crocs yuk!

-Anything too baggy like hoodies, baggy jeans etc.

-White Pants are my biggest hate, nothing makes me more sick than them.

-Beanies, they look too skateboardish for me.

-Really big raincoats, like the ones worn by sports coaches.

-Any athletic clothing like biker shorts, sweat suits and board shorts make me hurl.

-Cargo pants, unless youre going into the jungle you dont need a million pockets. What could possibly be so important that it has to be attached to your leg?

-Suspenders *shivers* Men who wear them make me sick.

I hope by that you mean you don't want to state the obvious (since everyone would already know you live in the United States), and not that you're ashamed of your country.

theres one thing that you love your country but theres no reason to get out on the street dressed like a walking flag. theres other ways to show your respect for your country other than the obvious ones

There's something obnoxious about someone so patriotic they feel they need to paste their flag everywhere: outside their house, on their car, on their clothes (even their underwear). They are often the kind of people who go on and on about how wonderfully perfect their country is and how proud they are to be a citizen of X. Every single topic of conversation eventually turns into either, 'I love my country/You should come live in my country: it's the best country in the universe and everyone has unlimited happiness, youth and wealth for all eternity!' You can't disagree else you're accused of being unpatriotic or, if you're from another country, you are accused of being brainwashed into having a negative opinion of their land by the evil foreigners who are all out to drag X country's name through the dirt with their slanderous gossip.

I don't want to be associated with that, so I will never wear anything patriotic (not that I am much of a patriot in the first place).
