Well, I think it's fine to wear your country's flag on your clothing (in moderation), and have myself on several occasions. I also hang a flag outside my house. If that makes me unfashionable, then so be it.

I am going to make a confession I once owned a T-shirt with a beaded flag on it. I wore it on the 4th, but I also wore it randomly, which sometimes coincided with "flag" holidays. Once I was wearing it & this old lady came up to me & gave me this long chat about how "the young people of today just don't honor our holidays, I'm so glad to see you wearing this," etc., and of course I couldn't ask her which holiday it was I was honoring I got home & checked the calendar & I think it was Flag Day :p

Well, I'm in favor of any piece of clothing that's a conversation starter ... but I think I will wait till I'm a bit prouder of what we're doing before I buy anything else with the flag on it.

In my country it's illegal to wear our flag...

^ I think it's probably against flag etiquette here ... the only thing that annoys me is when I see people flying flags with holes & the red faded to pink ... that is just wrong :p

That's very interesting - are you allowed to wear flag pins/buttons, or are those illegal also? I'm curious because these pins (pictured below) are very popular in the United States.

I don't want to be associated with that, so I will never wear anything patriotic (not that I am much of a patriot in the first place).
LOL. i am soooo with you on this.

i detest (on me) and will never wear:

neon colors (especially hot pink or bright lime green!)
leggings
polyester (not even if it's 5% in a blend. it's just a thing i have!)
sequins, anywhere, on anything
denim that is faded/whiskered/worn-looking. i like a sleek, straight wash on my denim.

hate on anyone:
logo'd ANYTHING. eek tacky.
anything like what is sold HERE: http://www.greatglam.com/cat_nighttime.cfm

Leggings. Yawn. I'd go for tights, but leggings. So annoying!

I hate bangles.

Especially in the work place.
If you're socializing, FINE.

But how they jangles and clink-clank on everything like the desk, computer, etc. during the quiet.
